I liked your video, watched it more than once. But I can't get the app to run.
All three files of 8/18 from the Moose site were in the piston_params directory,
including the 'test' file. The following error happened:
    *** ERROR ***
    /home/gary/projects/piston_params/piston_params.i:59: missing required parameter 'BCs/Pressure/boundary'
Doc String: "The list of boundary IDs from the mesh where this boundary condition applies"
    /home/gary/projects/piston_params/piston_params.i:59: missing required parameter 'BCs/Pressure/type'
Doc String: "A string representing the Moose Object that will be built by this Action"
    /home/gary/projects/piston_params/piston_params.i:59: missing required parameter 'BCs/Pressure/variable'
Doc String: "The name of the variable that this residual object operates on"
Is this another syntax update problem?

You may need to update / upgrade your MOOSE installation. See mooseframework.inl.gov/getting_started/installation/index.html#update

Thank you for your tutorial, but when I follow it (using your piston_params.i) MOOSE warning "piston_params.i:91: unused parameter 'BCs/Pressure/load/disp_x' piston_params.i:92: unused parameter 'BCs/Pressure/load/disp_y' piston_params.i:92: unused parameter 'BCs/Pressure/load/disp_z' ", I dont know what is the problem?

Hi @zhiyuan chen! Thanks for bringing this up, the MOOSE code had updated and this changed the allowable input. To solve this, I worked with the MOOSE team to get this problem included in the MOOSE repository as an example, that is hooked up to their test suite. In the future, any changes to required syntax will flag an error on this problem and will signal that the file needs to be updated with the code changes. You can find the input file at the location below:

Coming soon! We're finishing up several enhancements that will enable spline basis functions in MOOSE. See: github.com/gsjaardema/seacas/issues/189, github.com/libMesh/libmesh/issues/2179, github.com/idaholab/moose/issues/18768

@@Coreform_Greg Thanks a lot for reply! Which journal articles about converting isogeometric U-spline meshes into Bezier patches?

    • @Coreform_Greg
      @Coreform_Greg  2 года назад

@@liboyan7010 There aren't any articles available *yet* that talk about converting *U-splines* into Bezier elements. But the process for converting splines into their piecewise Bezier components is called "Bezier extraction" and you can find many papers on Bezier extraction for different types of splines.

Hello sir, can you assist with the MOOSE installation
I tried the process, got to the point where i had to download the MOOSE conda packages and then an error popped up. Please find the error message below:
An HTTP error occurred when trying to retrieve this URL. HTTP errors are often intermittent, and a simple retry will get you on your way. 'conda.anaconda.org/idaholab/linux-64'
will be very grateful if you could help out, thank you

Hi! It looks like that might just be a temporary issue, but if you're still having problems hop onto the official MOOSE forum at github.com/idaholab/moose/discussions and ask your question there. You'll find the developers will be more than happy to help answer your questions!
