      Second - I went for seeing him (achieving something, going for a goal)

      1. Both are correct.
      2. For whom did he have to purchase?
      OR
      Whom did he have to purchase for?
      (Note: If the sentence is negative or interrogative in simple present/past tense, use HAVE even if the subject is singular.)
      3. Both are correct.
      "Have to" gives a sense of obligation though.
      4. Both are correct.
