As a...larger figured monster high fan, Catty being my shape, and Iris in the show also being made fuller, both just made me SO happy, I nearly cried. There are parts about Catty's doll I don't love (her stupid shrug thing or the fact that her boots are pink), but I will defend her base doll forever.

It’s so weird that they did the shattered pattern on her boots but left them pink. I didn’t even realize that they were textured until someone posted a close up of them!
as someone who loves 1830s fashion, i have to admit that i like the shrug haha. i love her body type, and hope to have a doll with one (mainly because of a custom doll i want to make) i really like this doll in general as well! my body is similar to hers, somewhere between her and draculaura, so she is just so nice to see!
X is SUCH a goated movie-i love how it explores deeper subjects in regards to older folk Also while yes draculaura was the “”biggest”” she was still skinny, nothing else about her aside from her hips & thighs were bigger which isnt how fat bodies work-calling drac “plus sized represention” is like calling kim kardashin “plus sized represention” shes just thin & curvy, i have friends who are skinny & say they have the same body type as drac
I was surprised to find Catty at my Walmart when I was grocery shopping today so I picked her up they had like five copies of her so I got a very nice condition Catty. Hurray!
Now that i see her in doll form, shes really cute. When i saw her concept pics i thought her body was really unproportional and looked...off ( not because shes plus sized, i enjoy the fact that shes plus sized) it just looked like her frame was all over the place compared to her head. But in doll form they really got it together, cant wait to get her
Thank you for saying she looks frumpy! As someone who has a semi-similar body type, they could’ve done better. The base doll is amazing, no complaints there. I just don’t feel like her clothes do her body justice. I’ve seen so many beautiful restyles of her.
The one with the high-low skirt similar her G1? It made me realize how much better her dress would have been if they dropped the bow jacket and done a longer skirt instead.
Im pretty sure that the artwork of her phone is cracked (and her hand-held mirror is cracked) is because black cats are considered bad luck and broken mirrors relate to bad luck so its a rly coll detail, also love this doll i have the lol omg kitty k im gonna give her some of kitty k's stuff lol
Her pet looks like Puruguly with bombastic side eye. I love how Catty looks with her hair down. I'm gonna get one for my kid and then if down the line they announce another version in six months or it goes on sale I'll get one for myself.
I'm happy Mattel gives us dolls with fuller bodies, that are not just Barbie, but once again they proved, they have no idea how to dress a plus size doll. You probably already know this, but Catty has problems with her braids falling out, so everyone be careful with her. Side note: I love her eyes!
Of all the Monster High dolls coming out so far, Catty is definitely a must have for me. I missed out on getting her G1 basic when she was still in stores. And with scalping still being an issue, this one could work as a great substitute for me. 😊
If you could, I think some of that chrome powder or paint could work great for her boots because of the reflective finish it would give off. But that may be more of a hassle to work with, so silver paint is still alright.

Funnily enough I got a Jacy Masters from the Wild Hearts Crew today. I wonder if her and Catty share a body mold (or if Jacy was in the room when Catty was being made). From watching reviews both of their legs look similar in shape, but Jacy's arms and neck are thicker. G3 Catty is stunning tho, I probably pick her up on sale.

Yeah the outfit is super frumpy, Mattel is notoriously bad at styling plus sized dolls tho so I’m unfortunately not surprised they failed in that regard. At least she’s a gorgeous base doll to restyle!
