- This episode is a perfect example of managing expectations (or rather what to do when your expectations are not met)! I fully expected to be telling the story of how we met, and he threw a wrench in my plans (who’s surprised by that)?! TRID did tell me after we finished recording that he was coming down with something, and wanted to feel better when we told our story (which we have since recorded and will be released on Feb. 13)! I wish he was lying, but he was not - I came down with something the next day and was in bed for two days!
Ironically, TRID derailing Sheena's intended topic was about the most expected thing possible.

Final note! I forgot to mention that I do have 2 cats and they were in the living room and actually reacted to the meows TRID made, they both twisted their ears in all directions and looked for a kitty, I had to pause because it was so funny...their #1 podcast 😂

I totally felt this. I have told my family for years that you never find yourself let down if you don't have expectations.. however, this perspective gave that a whole new meaning I didn't even know I needed.
If you are going to put flagged notes over the video you should leave them up a lot longer. If you are the one that wrote the note you know what it says and when its coming so its easy to pick up what the message is about. We don't know when these messages will pop up so i get half way thru the message and pop its gone.

Our daughters both started gymnastics at 3/4 years old and competed all the way up until high school. We now have one doing gymnastics in college and one doing cheerleading in college. Those experiences are the best and there will be so many more life lessons learned than first place ribbons. And possibly college scholarships😊
