I always liked the original cellophane and foil wrappers as they looked like the coloured christmas lights 😂 Everything seems very underwhelming these days.
Totally agree Jim always loved Quality Street around Christmas but they are lacking taste and excuse the pun quality. My favourite is the blue coconut but I think it may be over to Roses next Christmas.
So Jim how much is that (tin)? I ask this because, over here we have a store called World Market, as the name suggests food and general goods world wide. Anyway week before Xmas I saw that (tin) for $32.00 so about 27 quid, I remember the real tin as being at least twice+ the size, the Gold and Purple foil wraps were a particular favorite. p.s. I didn't buy it. Good subject. They did have Lion bars and Coffee crisp, about a quid, bought.
I think they were selling them about £4 or £4.99. When I lived in the U.S.A I saw a few shops that imported Chocolate that we used to take for granted to Ex Pats.at a premium price.
All things are smaller nowadays. Roses are the best. Quality Street should be renamed Street.

They also seem to getting less and less sweets in the tubs too.
This kind of things been going on for years. Best avoided.
Excuse the pun that is your life
