Thanks for the video, man. Great review and comparison with the Jaime. I just got myself Evo dlab 12 and i am wondering shall i get a board like this for my sessions? I am 190-200 pounds, i can do some basic jumps and transitions, then wind on my main spot is thermal 13-16 knots 90% of time and my boards are Slingshot Vision 138 and North Gonzales 151 for the really light winds. Do you think i need this Trace for my progression or i can get away with my other 2 boards, covering the wind ranges? Thanks for the answer and the review once again

If you are a heavy riders (>200 pounds like me) the best advise I can give: take a bigger board. Been kiting for 12 years. All my sessions went much better/enjoyable once I put my pride aside and stop listening to the usual equipment review and added 10 cm to my quiver. Boards are more important than you think. I have 3, including the trace and a 165 F1: smiles on the beach but I’m the last TT on the water. Cruising upwind like mad (very enjoyable) allowing me to jump in light wind. Bought it second hand. One of my best purchase…

Could use help! 91kgs, beginner looking for first board post lessons on a door. Tried the 145 in low, 14mph on a 12m moto X. Felt great on the few rides I got going but felt pretty underpowered and was kinda tough to get planing. Not sure if should go 155 or if this was more a product of low wind and should look at getting a bigger kite for lower days. Thanks!

Will this board be too big for 165 lbs up to around 16 knots on a 11m kite? Actually lookint for "lighter wind performance" if that makes sense

Nice review! May take a look at this board based on your review ... I'm about 185-190 and in Florida (nice shots and mention of the 520 Slick) Thanks!

Superb Review! I am like 90-93kg and normally riding a 136 Jaime SLS from low winds to the nice 40kts days. I think about buying the trace to ride on the lakes on light wind days or similar. My question is just which size to buy...? North recommends the 155 above 80kgs... but I love riding the 136 sls in medium to strong winds. Regards from Europe, keep up the good work, Tim

Tim, if you want a board that feels fun and smaller go with the 145cm. It's a blast! If you are looking for maximum low end and just mowing the lawn, the 155cm is nice as well. -Tucker
