Sometimes you have to make a stand while maintaining love. Sounds like they need an adjustment to their attitude and some prayer. Another of many reasons I would never live in a neighborhood. Country living!! God bless Sam and keep up a great ministry.
Ralph that is exactly right, no subdivision for me. Wow, I wouldn’t be able to handle asking permission from a group of folks to do things on my property. Country living is where it’s at. It’s interesting that I have never heard anyone say “ oh we have a great HOA and they are easy to work with”.🤣🤣🤣
Familiar with improvisation - making a tool that we don't have sometimes. Did want to share that some contractors are sharing/ warning on social media or by word of mouth the names of customers/businesses that they will not work for again (unreasonable expectations, arguing about the estimates, threatening the contractors, or adding to projects without assuming the additional costs). It's less expensive to burn than to haul away...You are saving your customers money. I remember a family member saying, "You have to remember - people generally do the best they can," and another asking, "What if their best is abysmal?" His reply was, "At that point, we have to work even harder to show them grace and forgiveness." Not easy. May the Lord bless you, Sam, and keep you and your viewers safe. Until next time, Mike&Pat
Thank you for sharing; brother Sam I respect how you’re consistently showing persistence breaks resistance and it’s always difficult when you’re confronted by someone who seems to take your kindness for weakness. Those situations are always tough ones😅
Thanks Allon, yeah situation like that will test your patience for sure! I’m hoping to get to the point that I can just set and listen to a feller mouth off and just let it roll off. Whew, that is tough to do for sure…
First of all, I absolutely liked your message. Earthly nature is to feed back what you're getting. I can't point any fingers at you on this without having at least 3 pointing back at me. As I heard a wise old fellow say, "You can always tell a man who's walking up to you with the intent of starting an argument. But you can't tell him much, so just go on about your business and let him run out of air first." Life's full of people like that. Now, about fixing the Hog's parking brake. Having less intuitive mechanical skills than a tree stump, I still admire your willingness to try to repair stuff. I can get more done if I just strap some C4 to something that's broke. Whole lot less big pieces to clear out of the way after hours of non-fixes.
Randy that is right, the tendency is to lash out for sure! I’m not sure this guy was going to run out of air.🤣🤣🤣 Sometimes I would like to use a bit of that C4 as well. 🤣
Hello, I enjoy all your videos. Just a thought about the pads for the brakes. What about getting a piece of brake lining the correct width and then you can purchase the length . It might take some doing to get the old lining off if there are no rivets in it, you can always drill and then countersink your brake lining using brass rivets. If you know of a machine shop, they might be willing to help you with that at a reasonable cost or you can try it yourself. Before trucking I used to work at a machine shop, rebuilding engines doing brake lines etc. etc. just a thought God bless you keep pushing that dirt.🤠
First time I've ever heard that type of wrench called a fit-all but that makes a lot of sense, round here we call them crescent or adjustable wrenches. An old-timer once told me at when I was complaining about stress that it wasn't stress that will hurt ya but rather how you choose to respond to it. Great message and great video.
🤣 yeah we call them crescent and adjustable too. But another name besides fit all is hammer…🤣🤣🤣 That is some wise words, how we choose to respond to it…
Sam, God bless you brother 🙏 It only goes to the fact that we are still human. We've all been there ourselves where some people will come before us with I'll intent.
Love the message Sam. As flawed humans we all are gonna mess up. There's only so much abuse we can take. Don't beat yourself up too bad. I don't have much use for most HOA s. And what you call a fit all I've always heard it called a Japanese speed wrench. God bless Sam. Keep em coming
Great message I think everyone can relate to dealing with similar situations and think about how we should have handled it better. I like how you think of ways to deal with the problems when you don’t have the right tools.
Yeah Alan I agree with that! We all have those frustrating moments in life for sure. When you don’t have the right tool you just have to make it happen…🤣🤣🤣
Hey Sam that was me in the junky old single axle dump truck on 411... HOA's are nothing but problems lost my cool one time as well with one in a retirement community as well... Nice job on the custom tools long as it works as that is all that matters....
Hey Nathan that’s cool, I was wondering who that was! 🤣 HOAs are definitely a pain to deal with. Yeah I have a few of those modified single use tools.🤣🤣🤣
Here in upstate NY we use that lanolin spray on the frames of our trucks and trailers because of the calcium chloride they spread on the road which causes things to rust.. I never thought of using it on my load binders. I’m going to give that a try lol, thanks Sam.
Sam, that bike is looking pretty cool! I'm so happy you got that caliper working the first time. It seems like I always make a mistake the first round of a fix. Great video and message about getting along with others if we can control it.
We all fall short on a daily basis but admitting it and knowing it was wrong and saying it shows just what kind of man you are with that being said sometimes we just have to stand our ground at certain moments just my thoughts lol. Great video and message
Well Sam the heavy equipment Mechanic fantastic Job Sir 👍👍 Thanks for sharing 👍 That was a Awesome Message I myself needed my toes stepped on. I'm still planning on getting a hat. I didn’t think about the anti seize but I did grease them up good before putting them back in. Yes, we all struggle with that for sure. It’s a constant battle to keep my mouth shut…🤣
So funny. Delt with a situation almost exactly the same. And i did not argue. Did what he ask knowing when the time comes he will see his mistake. Sadly it is going to cost him a lot of money. But he is really hard headed and loud. Likes to use his voice to make him look good on front of others. He is gonna feel pretty dumb in 3 weeks. Enjoyed the video and message.
I have a "Z" type screwdriver - both a philips and a standard one - they come in very handy at times like you just found out. Tks for sharing - God Bless
Sam I love the effort you put into fixing your equipment. It does take time and some sweat equity but the knowledge you received is “Priceless” Falling short of the Glory also becomes priceless even though we are not trying to obtain that goal. Great video and once again thanks for the word!!!
