He is one of the strongest samurai soldier, and most popular in Japan.
He almost forced Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa into killing himself.
Tokugawa Ieyasu recognized that "Sanada is the greatest samurai soldier in Japan." and
Ieyasu did not stop the spreading of that evaluation throughout Japan as a mark of respect for Sanada.
