The Crusader Power Armor was vital in the conquest of the Galaxy with the Space Marines were able fight in every environment that Galaxy had to offer, from deserts, forests, cityscapes, and even the vacuum of space.
Wonderful story. As much as I love 40k with all its horrors, the thing that keeps me coming back are the "noble-bright" moments like this.

Wow listening to that story put the biggest smile on my face and when the man said "finally our people had come" it gave me such a profound feeling of pride and hopefulness cause even though humans are immensely flawed they none the less have the capability of preforming the greatest acts of love, mercy and kindness..

Uncle Baldermort has a wonderful gift for writing and narration. I listen to the story of the general and the marine not infrequently. (I feel dumb because I don’t remember names at the moment) I love these personal stories, it makes the lore feel so real.
When the boy said "sanguinius, you came, truly you are the Warhammer 40,000™️" I really felt that.
Hearing crusade stories was really refreshing, I would love to hear more of the hopeful time in the imperiums history where Space marines were heroes again and they brought light to the dark of the universe. Wonderful work as always Baldermort and co, truly epic.

the crusade, and tbh the imperium, is inherently genocidal
and cases like in this story, where there's an actual human population to be liberated, are the more just of the crusade...

Hot damn! That was an epic opening. I felt so enthralled with the story, then you properly laid down the reverence of the Mk II. I never thought of the glory that it holds, a spark of forgotten hope. Then that ending was down right superb. EPIC WORK MAN!

It's hard to explain, but there's just something about a bunch of Salamanders in MK III welding flamers and Thunder Hammers showing up just in time to save innocent civilians from some Dark Eldar just creates an ideal mental image

It is interesting to hear the otherside of the Imperium of Man. So often it focuses on the horrible shit that happens, rarely does it remind you that in most places it was far Worse before the Emperor and his Crusade.
It’s these stories that really explain why many people in the Imperium still call Space Marines angels

There has been persistent rumours that there will be, in time, a MK2 plastic box set for the Horus Heresy.
I want mk 2 in plastic but I want mk 5 more but that's just me
For now, you may have to make do with the Heresy plastic vehicle kits, as those come with the torsos, heads and arms of MK2 marines, likely kitbashing it with MKIII to make proper MKII stuff... Hopefully a kit shall eventually come around.
@@dominicvucic8654 at least there are MkV kits on forge world though. They got assault squad and tactical squad box on there. Mk II doesn’t even have forge world kits anymore.

As much as I love 40k, that story in the beginning reminded me why I love the 30k stories just a little bit more. When the Astartes were truly angels sent to free mankind from the vile xenos and reclaim the galaxy for our species.

We really need good inspiring Great Crusade stories. Stories of the early heroes and the times before the Primarchs. We need to hear tales of when the Great Crusade was lead by the Emperor and his hand picked few.

Excellent story keep the good work up. A part of me wish the the writers return back to the unification war even if it is for a short series. As the breif mention of it in the Horus Heresy series and people who who alive in 30k Horus Heresy that talk about Terra. It would be a interesting series if to read for how creative GW writers can be for this era .
MK 1 and MK 2 they are definetly unique for models . As they like MK 3 hold important place for how iconic they are for just being unique compare to the primaris armor as visual appealing it may be in 40k .

In the oldest lore, the mkII helmets were fixed in place - bolted on to the chest battleplate. It was only later marks of armour that had helmets able to move with the wearer's head.

Loved the story at the start, I wonder though the astartes telling someone they are now free (compliant) is literally a death sentence for that planets population.
I have to admit that I do love the mark 2 armor. To me it’s seems to be able to take more beating than the newer armor.
