Eh honestly I ended up using zimmers despite not watching any videos until after I beat the game. Even at a glance you can tell they had ridiculous burst potential and their only drawback is that their a close range weapon in the game with the worst fcs in the series. Oh close range? Who cares, sniper rifles aren't here and fcs cap out at 300m anyway.
AC4 was "what if you were playing DBZ but with giant robots" and while it's not something that fits everywhere it's absolutely a subgenre that needs love just like Steel Battalion-style mechs. So good to see people keeping the style alive ♥
AC4th and AC5th are both two ends of perfection for me and what every AC game from now on needs to strive for. Weighty, tactical, and absurdly technical for 5th style games, and intense, unrestricted chaos for 4th style. AC6 has so much untapped potential and the stagger system was a gameplay tumor that kneecaps the entire experience.
@awhellnah__no it's the same Raven. Just a destroyed AC of theirs. Same weapons. Multiple times in the game it's mentioned pilots can eject from their AC. That's probably what Happened

And with Branch, the faction the original Raven is part of, being a “hacktivist group” it’d likely they have ways around not having license access.
This makes your mech feel about 6 feet tall and 100 lb's. Glad they split the difference between AC4/5 for movement and animated it well instead of going full ZOE
This reminded me that in AC4A before the new regulations the game was so fast that few weapons lacked the travel speed to feel useful. Like the fight against Cube.

This isn't default gameplay. Its the new NEXT mod that enhances all stats to perform on AC4A levels. Since AC4A is the fastest Armored Core game in the series.

I've also been playing around with the regs some more and have almost got it to acfa levels. Now just need someone to start porting NEXT models over for the full experience and I might do a full White glint playthrough or smth xd

I love how they changed the leg animation. I don't understand why they had q little hopping animation for the legs during quick boost, but this mod takes it away.
thats just how reverse legs are, they have longer quickboosts if you're on the ground. In this it's like AC4 where your mech kind of just locks up and is flung by its thrusters

Bipedal and backwards joint legs have a jumping stat, the jump animation is cool because if your mech is jumping it's free height that doesn't cost energy/boost. I like it, I think it adds an extra quirk to movement in PvP (especially if you use a coral generator and spend a lot of time out of energy) and IMO it looks more natural for the speed in 6 than NEXTs sliding around in 4a.

AC4A movement was fun but made PvP builds almost unimportant and made twitch-reflexes everything in PvP This is coming from someone who was highly competitive online in AC4A with starter weapons(mainly because I wanted a challenge) V was a much better AC game for PvP but by then, the 4A players were addicted to speed so they hated it even though its truer to the AC formula. AC6 is an "almost" perfect balance in my opinion of pacing and builds. And with the latest balance patches, its MUCH better as a PvP game now than 4A.
They could do something with the coral release ending... Maybe all AC's are powered by Coral now but this allowed huge advances if AC technology which created more powerful weapons and higher speed and energy capacity AC's
So far can only edit melee to have instant cooldown like in 4 and fa but no clue on how I'd enable it's use on both arms or if there are even animations made for that. Might be someone who can figure it out in the coming months as the general modding scene is still in it's infancy for this game
I’m hoping the 2nd AC6 game comes with this much speed and BETTER MUSIC. ACFA has the most epic music and crazy fast speeds. So much more exciting than just double needle launcher 1-shots and perma stun locks that current PVP is filled with. I’d prefer the long fought victory in a 1v1 than just stunning an opponent once or twice before their whole health bar is gone
Ac6 soundtrack was fantastic, just different. Quit comparing it to previous entries, and after beating NG++, play through the game again but this time with music on 100 and everything else at 50 and just feel it. It's a new era of AC and a new era of music for it as well.
I cant believe how right that feels (as a serial AC4A replayer) though tbh it breaks so much balance. You would definitely need to speed up everything else in this game to match. Like missles are a joke now.
This is pretty old, updated version of the mod scales everything up with the player, it even has a "hard mode" of sorts that makes enemies hit a lot harder so chaining qb's is literally the only thing keeping you alive lol
what exactly is fromsofts stance on modding AC6? is it like dark souls where people with "modified code" are kept on a seperate server? if you clean install and leave the install clean for a set time would you be put back in normal servers?
Personally, I keep a separate installation of the game with EAC and online disabled for modding and also keep separate saves (modded and unmodded respectively) to swap as necessary. Otherwise yes, you would probably be put onto a different server with others who mod/cheat. Problem is once you get put onto it, you don't get to leave as far as I'm aware, even if you unmod your game. Not 100% sure but it was either 6 or 12 months as a warning before they put you there permanently in earlier games.
At this point there's multiple mods as well as people editing them on their own too, as for my own, boosting was around 400 and quick boosting 8-1000ish with assault boost being somewhere in that range too, although this was on the older patch so take that into account as well
AC's in 6 and most other AC games would be considered advanced MT's at best compared to a NEXT. Average AP for light builds was around 30k ish I think. And then there's the speed, where you'd casually break mach 1 while boosting and mach 2 and 3 on blade builds basically crossing the map in a couple of swings. It was pretty ridiculous but all the more amazing for it lol. The guy that made the mod has increased the speed quite a bit since, and I've even added to it myself, but I'd still say it's solidly slower than the fastest 4 could get at moments. Might make a comparison video if I get some time

AC *(4th gen. games are: **_Armored Core 4_** and **_Armored Core for Answer)_* While Armored Core series are known for rebooting their universe occasionally with different installments, the 4th gen. NEXT AC are by far the canonically the MOST strongest AC in the series 'till this day to date And just as the person above me said, they are the toughest in the series. Infamously known for their increased purely on speed
Imagine the heaviest build in 6 is still only half as durable as the lightest NEXT. And they have Primal Armor which function like rechargeable passive Pulse Armor. Their speed can be on par or faster than the Ibis depending on the weight class. The enemies in the first mission that you play in 4A are basically you encountering a NEXT for the first time.
Short answer is yes Long answer: They're basically are gundams to grunts or elite grunt MS in a gundam series. Just imagine a mech capable of moving 1000+ km/h from one side to the other, with enough armor and barrier to catch shots from building-sized cannons like those from Motherwill and enough firepower that even their weakest weapons are capable if downing battleships in a few shots. They're also piloted by people exhibiting psychic traits, so not anyone can just get in them (though there were experiments that tried to elevate others to their level, like the case with Wonderful Body). There is a good reason why corporations back then tried hard to curb the influence of the lynx back then through Collared and Arms Forts and those still failed. The only *reliable* way of taking down a NEXT is with another NEXT with a pilot of equal or greater skill. You can see why the tagline for the 4th gen was *God is force* ACFA NEXTs are the pinnacle of NEXT tech, where elements like Silent Avalanche and the final boss of AC4 being considered relics (your operator remarks on them) Edit: added some small details
Unfortunately, no second stage (big sadge I know), the way the game works doesn't allow it, so until someone figures out how to hack it in we're stuck with just changing up the base values. Currently trying to get general FA lvl speed working on my own but map sizes are also proving to be a bitch since you hit edges almost instantly so I'm trying to find a middle ground and waiting until someone figures out how to disable borders as well
does the enemy also move faster ? cuz i don't see them being fast here... if they already have the same speed as us and my eyes are wrong, then i hope there's a mod to make the enemy's movement not only faster but also make the enemy having faster reaction speed. cuz not gonna lie here, i'm not sure why the enemy seems so slow, either the speed is different, or the speed is same but the reaction speed still following the vanilla script, which is pretty slow
Even with this mod it still seems so slow…. I hate that fromsoft can’t just iterate on 4 and especially for answer they switch it up completely every generation but some how kept all the souls borne series feel similar it makes me sad……. Not every AC fan liked the speed but I’m not one of them they struck gold with that and should love just kept iterating on that…. But a man can dream
Tbf, It's an older version of both the mod and the game on an unoptimized build, max speed would be about 2.5x what's in the vid, maybe a bit more, problem is that the map size also limits the speed you can push the ac's to, so if I say, got boosting to go up to 2500kmh like I can in FA, I'd hit the edge of most maps and arenas in like 2 QB's. The only place it truly works and feels like in 4 is on the Strider mission. I might upload another one where the difference is a bit clearer on a bigger map

Kota Hoshino, who did AC4/ACFA OST also did AC6 OST. It's just much more somber than the hard rock, orchestra mix of ACFA.

does the enemy also move faster ? cuz i don't see them being fast here... if they already have the same speed as us and my eyes are wrong, then i hope there's a mod to make the enemy's movement not only faster but also make the enemy having faster reaction speed. cuz not gonna lie here, i'm not sure why the enemy seems so slow, either the speed is different, or the speed is same but the reaction speed still following the vanilla script, which is pretty slow
They do, any edit made on existing parts also affects other npc's using them, raven is just fat af

Even with this mod it still seems so slow…. I hate that fromsoft can’t just iterate on 4 and especially for answer they switch it up completely every generation but some how kept all the souls borne series feel similar it makes me sad……. Not every AC fan liked the speed but I’m not one of them they struck gold with that and should love just kept iterating on that…. But a man can dream

This seems unbalanced. The bullets are too slow now.
Old version, new one improves on it quite a lot. Projectile speeds were one of the first things they changed.

Tbf, It's an older version of both the mod and the game on an unoptimized build, max speed would be about 2.5x what's in the vid, maybe a bit more, problem is that the map size also limits the speed you can push the ac's to, so if I say, got boosting to go up to 2500kmh like I can in FA, I'd hit the edge of most maps and arenas in like 2 QB's. The only place it truly works and feels like in 4 is on the Strider mission. I might upload another one where the difference is a bit clearer on a bigger map
