I honestly think this Doomguy is the most accurate representation of what I think the classic Doomguy’s personality. A shame this series hasn’t continued, because this is something I always wanted: a series focusing on Doomguy meeting and helping out other characters that ID created. Imagine if they made Season 2 and BJ Blazkowicz comes in as well? Then you’d have the ID trinity (Doomguy, Blazkowicz, and Ranger).
This is still the best Doom movie. One day Joe Goss will return, and with all new software. And he'll blow us away. This is his baby, and he wont abandon it.
This still holds up as one of the best movies I've ever saw together with EVE Online Clear Skies and Star Trek Specter... Thanks a lot once again for everyone involved.
@@DirectorGossi am a Doom 3 modder. I was looking for the Archvile and Revenant models from Arenas but i couldn't find anything. I want to make them go back to action
Rewatching it 10 years after first watch., after reminding the existence of the serie. Yep, it's good, i love it, it was a nice rewatch. It didn't age badly, even after all this time, especially for a small production. It's sad it didn't have the success of Red versus Blue, or something like that.
EPIC movie! Why have I never seen this before. Ive played quake and doom for ages so this was so satisfying to watch, with the familiar arenas and stuff.
I've found this just today and I already feel like it's the best thing I've found online in the last good years, just a fantastic job and so faithful to the original game on its whole. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
It's impressive seeing how long it has been since this film came out and there's a strong amount of respect i wanna give for creating something that brings this type of tribute to a game series like Quake & Doom and even more with Quake 3 in a way since that's the game i feel it deserved a lot more than being a focused Multiplayer game and this film expressed to me why, little after this movie came out i used to check the Quake Rebellion website multiple times because i fell in love with Quake 3 Arena again as well as the other iterations of the game that have come out over the next couple of years, Quake Live, Quake 3 Revolution (PS2 port), Quake 3 Mods, Quake 3 Machinima, Quake Champions if we count that one which i sort of do, i looked up whatever interesting material i could find of Quake 3 Arena in general and i am so happy this fan film is one of them, it takes a stab in trying something interesting using the game's basic or barebones plot as a base and has fun with it like so many underrated fan projects I've seen that i fell in love with as well have Honestly, Goss, whether you are working on something or enjoying your life or whatever you are doing nowadays I'll keep supporting and saluting ya because you are one of the content creators who has managed to fully create a project that brings a tribute to Quake and Doom like this, I'd still wish more people were aware of this project but i am thankful that at least i am one of them and i am proud to be a part of it even if just watching it from the sidelines.
Man, I can't believe I forgot about this. Holy shit, you must have put in a lot of work, really it's so goddamn good man. When I first watched this 9 years ago, I don't think I really appreciated how much effort and work went into it. I'm sure I still don't, but hey, good job dude. My appreciation for your work only continues to grow as I age, much like my love of Quake and CPMA lol. I love that you had a fight take place on cpm1 (visor v xaero 41:25), big platonic kisses for that one.
I remember when Triton was working on these in episodic format. It was good stuff then, even better to see the complete movie. I had no idea this had been posted as a complete film until I decided to search for the Arenas Episodes. When I saw the first Quake Champions teaser with Ranger teleporting it immediately reminded me of Ranger and the Rune amulet, so I ran across this again. It's just as good as I remember it.
