He doesn’t have a misplaced hitbox. His hitbox is a brick inside called the HumanoidRootPart, which doesn’t move with the torso. It’s the same hitbox as every other skin, but it just looks bigger, because of the torso’s rotation. So he’s not an unbalanced skin and his hitbox isn’t misplaced/bigger

Okay, so, as a newbie-ranked dev, I can say Archie has the same hitbox as all the other skins (a mistake like that couldn't slip past MiniToon).
The issue is his hitbox is placed *differently* compared to other skins, it's moved a bit to the front, appearing to be larger, but, it's just moved to the front by a fraction of a stud.
He was to busy thinking about mommy mearest and broke it 😭

this happens because the idle animation and walk animation for archie, his back is slunched back but his hitbox (humanoidrootpart) is still in its original spot, no matter what the animation is, thats why it seems that he has a bigger hitbox but he doesnt because its just his animation that makes it look like it, so i guess you can say its kind of an illusion.
Fun fact: Archie has more Range in the Back. This is Confirmed When someone is Doing a vent glitch in the mall, Go backwards/shiftlock/zooming, it'll hit.
The reason archie's hitbox is larger is because of the animations.

4:54 Kreek, that is not how hitbox works. What it is is a humanoidroot, if you load your character into roblox studio it will have a humanoid root, it is invisible but the size of the torso, so the piggy can only kill it unless the piggy touches it. I know that since i make small piggy fan games
it is how the hitbox works, he’s just not drawing exactly in the humanoid root part. he’s just drawing an example for the people that don’t understand

archies hitbox isnt bigger cuz of his animations. archies hitbox affects his nose, like if you stand to a wall as archie and then rotate, youll get a little push. thats the same thing with distorted penny and sentinel (sentinel has the biggest hitbox affecting his whole fat bubble gum head and arms)

Couldn't you test Archie's hitbox by shooting his arm and seeing if the bullet goes through or not? Then you'd have more of an idea of how big his hitbox actually is

Alright, here's what's actually happening.
Basically the hitbox is actually a part located where the torso is called the humanoidrootpart. The humanoidrootpart doesn't have any animations, so it doesnt change between skins.
Archie's animation is probably going a little bit behind the humanoidrootpart, so it LOOKS like his hitbox is actually bigger, but it's actually not, it's just the animation that's a little offset behind the humanoidrootpart.

I remember always knowing this was fake. It's easy to tell that in his animstion, archie is leaning back, making the hitbox seem bigger, but the hitbox isn't in the torso, it's in the humanoid root part, which isn't rigged to the torso, I'm pretty sure it's rigged to the head

The reason why this happens with archie, is because with his skin is leaning backwards, and it still has the exact same hit box as all the other skins, it's torso is leaning backwards, but it's legs are ok.

A portion of the reason Archie’s hitbox is like that is the fact that he is leaning back on the torso, giving the illusion of a larger hitbox. As torso controls neck, torso back=neck back=head back.

Really, I get Minitoon here. I think his hitbox is so big because of two reasons. 1, His hitbox is leaning back that makes his hitbox go farther infront of him. 2, The reason his hitbox is big is because his left arm is reaching out.
Same happens with the crew members in Chp. 8, book 2, Ship. Kenneth, Bobby, and Pepper (the name of the ship members or secondary bots) have their arm reaching out that makes the hitbox bigger too.
This is the reason ( i think ) why in chapters like chapter 9, Docks (book 2) you can play ring around the rosies with the bot. Same happens with all the book 1 bots.
