Son 10 senede Vakıfbank'a gelen en istikrarsız oyuncu. Finale çıkılamama sebeplerinin en büyüklerinden. İlk maç çok düşük yüzde ile oynamıştı. Bu maç karar setini -1 ile bitirdi. Tam bir hayal kırıklığı.

Kupa voley finali haricinde bütün büyük maçları bütün kritik anları kötü oynamış bir oyuncu. Kupa voley finalinde de son set berbattı. İnanılmaz kötü ve bu takımın seviyesinin çok altında bir yarı final performansı. Üstelik antrenmandaki disiplinsiz hareketleri yüzünden Vakıfbank onunla sözleşme imzalamadı. 1 aydır gideceği belli. Fanlık yapmanın sırası değil. Önce somut bir performans lazım. Isabelle Haak'ın yarısı kadar bile performans sergilemedi Egonu. Üstelik aldığı paslar da gayet iyiydi şu maç. Haak kötü oynadığı zamanlarda bile bu kadar hata yapmıyordu. Ayrıca blok ve savunma katkısı daha fazlaydı. Egonu onun kadar blokör olmadığı gibi çok kötü savunma yapıyor. Üstelik hücumda hiç güven vermiyor. Boskovic, Vargas ve Haak. Hepsi Egonu'dan iyi. Maçın 3. setinde yaptığı hata orada FB sayısı olmalıydı gördüğüm en amatör hareket. Arka oyuncu gelip ön turu gibi hareket ediyor. Aklı fikri gezmede. Şımarık, egoist ve tembel. Üstelik zekice oynamıyor. Tek yapabildiği yükseğe sıçrayabilmek. Rakipler blokta paraleli açık bırakıp çapraza blok vurduğu zaman o topların yarısının dışarı gideceğini biliyorsun. Çünkü bakmadan hücum ediyor.

Like Guidetti said, Vakifbank has a 'system' and not all the players fit in that system (that's why they don't always signed the 'best players' in the world, because you can be the best player in the world but still 'don't fit in the system'. Sloetjes stayed in Vakif the most because she fit in that system, same for Haak and Gabi (Robin de Kruijf and Hill didn't fit, but they are still the best in their roles). Egonu is still one of the best in the world to me, but unfortunately she doesn't fit in Vakif system (and it's nobody's fault). It was a good experience for her but she doesn't really fit in the Turkish league, unlike Boskovic (and I think Boskovic doesn't fit in the Italian league, she's not used to play every single match in the season, she would burnt out). I'm glad she's back in Italy (she can play every week constantly and regain confidence, and also train for a year with Orro to be prepared for the Olympics next year). Egonu needs to play a faster game. Vakifbank had a very unstable reception this season and that didn't help (yesterday there were 2 libero on the court and Macris made an ace with a float service aiming between Ayca and Aylin...). Can't wait to see how Vargas will perform with Cansu this season, she hasn't got Ana Cristina or Fedorovtseva to help her there. Good luck. Vargas is good but still needs to prove herself in the national team. Egonu needed to adjust and she 'struggled' a little bit this season but don't forget that Vargas, Boskovic and Haak have Macris, Maja and Wolosz. Egonu is always ready for new challenges (that's why she never stayed in a team for too long) and in sport you can't always win. A lot of players in other team sports (like football or basketball) are still great even if they won nothing. If you haven't already, I invite you to listen to the words of the NBA player Giannis. He answered a question a couple of weeks ago and gave a great lesson about failure.

She reacted. I'm sure if you played volleyball you know how reactions work. It was up to the ref to know their own job. But no matter, they gave a wack point back to fener in the golden set to make up for it.
