    I owned this amp for a short while and I have to say this is one of the best high end integrated amps I have heard. Other amps I currently own are Accuphase, Bryston (9 units) Crown, Harmon Kardon and a bunch of Chi-fi stuff. Build quality excellent, great power, really nice presentation and my favorite DAC.
    There is however one FATAL FLAW which caused me to dump the unit: The level matching inputs are not adequate to boost low level signals to line level. To make matters worse the output stage in all Rotel lines is a pathetic 1.9 volts-- peak. End result-- it could not power my Magnepan 3.7's. When I subbed a 40 year old Bryston 4B in place of the Rotel, there was a night and day difference. The Bryston, while similar in power, just grabbed the Maggies and commanded them, where the Rotel just petered out and ran out of steam. It's not just about power; it's not just about sound fidelity. It's about command and control of your speakers.
    p.s. On all of my other systems-- JBL, Tannoy, Castle Winchester-- the Rotel sounded great and drove all loads well.

    Hello, I had this unit for a year now and I absolutely love it. I'm using it with my turntable, CD Player and I stream Apple Music. I have it paired with my Polk R700 speakers. It's a fantastic setup for Rock/Metal in my opinion. The MM Phono stage is exceptional. Well worth the price.

    While i cant afford this model, i can attest that the Rotel A11 Tribute has the ROTEL DNA and sounds and preforms incredible at $650, it to has pre-outs. also checked out that atmosphereic album you suggested, wold love to get a physical copy but it was sold out on the bandcamp page. Streaming is great but sometimes you just want a phyical copy to own.

    Could you please explain how to connect my Marantz AVR to the Rotel amplifier 1592 Mark II?

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  11 дней назад

      Set the front left and right out in the Marantz to preout, connect the preouts to the Rotel. The input that you connect to can be set to fixed within the Rotel. Voila!

    Comparing this to the Rotel 6000 I don’t see much differences. Same amount of watts at half the price. What am I missing?

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  5 дней назад +1

      Its a question I have as well. Apparently the power section on the 6000 is closer to the Michi range. But will we hear the difference? That remains to be seen. Or heard.

    I bought this for my primary music listening device. It runs my big Polk R700’s paired with 2 REL Classic 99’s . I stream music to it via a Eversolo DMP A8 . This gives me everything I want . I’m not looking to make any changes at all . I’m done . Other than adding a CD player and phono to it . Any suggestions for a CD transport player with digital in and digital out ?

    I currently have a Cambridge CXA81 and have been very happy with it. It’s driving Monitor Audio Silver 500 7G speakers and until recently my source was an Emotiva ERC-4 CD player, which also has optical in for my TV. I just swapped out the Emotiva for the Rotel DT-6000, and for the first time have the sense that the Cambridge is holding things back with its 80 watts, being right at the low end of what Monitor Audio recommends for the 500s. The Emotiva didn’t reveal enough bass detail for this to be such an issue but with the Rotel player it feels like there’s information off the CD that the Cambridge just can’t quite realize.
    All of which is a long winded way to see if you’d recommend the 1592 as a good upgrade path. Some reviews have said it’s bright, and the 500s are very detailed in the treble so I’m worried about it being too much in the top end. Would welcome your thoughts.

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  6 месяцев назад

      I didn’t find it bright at all. Detailed, yes. But also, there are tone controls onboard which I find help immensely.

      I upgraded from the CXA81 and there was such a huge improvement in the sound it was actually hard to believe. The Rotel isn't bright in the slightest, but it is detailed and powerful. I'm using KEFs (first LS50 metas with a sub and now R11 metas)--and they don't take kindly to harsh amplification. I would highly recommend it for your Monitor Audios--they need the oomph the Rotel provides.

      Thanks! That’s encouraging. I just found a floor model RA-6000 for the same price as the 1592 and I’m waiting for that to arrive now. Sounds like I should be happy.

      @@jamieroberts8844 Well, I’ve had the RA-6000 for 48 hours and yes, what a difference from the CXA. Much more than I expected. I don’t know that the 6000 is much better than the 1592 - most people say it’s incremental at best, and I only went 6000 because it was the same price. Definitely won’t be looking back now though. Thanks for the advice.

    A perfect match for my power-hungry Magnapan LRS+ 350 watts into 4 ohms ~I agree regarding the remote being to cluttered and the small screen ~ But in this world you can't have everything now can you ~ I'm using a Denon DCD 900ne and my iPhone for Bluetooth ~ I'll be moving up to a Turntable shortly ~ All in Alll I'm very happy with the sound just one step down from a Big Mac ~ Glad I bought it ~

    For connections, since I use this as a 2 channel system, my main one is a computer through the USB interface, but also have an old SACD player I still connect (stereo only) through the analog inputs. I also really like the fact the Rotel has balanced inputs for a future DAC upgrade, if or when needed. If I ever replace it, it will probably be for Rotel separates. I'm also happy with the HT bypass and triggers, because if I do replace it, then it will find a home in the AV system :) Yeah--the remote and display suck :) But I don't really care about that given how good the amp is overall.

    I read in several reviews it is 120w into 8 ohms yet you say 200w into 8 ohms. Is there a different North American model perhaps?

    . PreAmp output voltage = 1.9v....................................
    This is acceptable voltage. I've come to learn preamp output voltage is very important if one plans to use just the preamp in a future expansion. Most power amplifiers require about 2 volts input signal to get to full power. There are a lot of preamp outputs that don't push near 2 volts single ended. So be aware of this spec for future expansion plans.
