When I was 50, I decided to get my masters degree. My husband and children were in favor of my going back to school. My father's reaction was "Do you know how old you will be in 2 years when you finish?" I did the math --"52"-- and did not see why that would matter. It is now 28 years later and I have enjoyed the benefits of my additional degree for over a quarter of a century.
Second time experiencing this one. The golden nuggets God has given me through His Word, and Dr. Cloud are paving the way to healing after losing our 3rd child. Pain is becoming my strength, glory to God! There is hope and help for anyone reading this who may feel hopeless

Dead ends....mazes....spiritual Warfare... .prayer. ...epiphanies...Guard my heart...lean not on my own understanding...seek first the Kingdom...We are MORE than Conguereers....I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!!!
This encourages me more than you know. I got stuck on math in 7th grade when a teacher made me atand at the chalkboardtill i "got it", but i never go it and felt defeated and "dumb"....ever since it's been such a stumbling block. In college never finished bc of the math issue. No-one encouraged me back then so I gave up. God has blessed me in many ways and I'm so thankful. I never got the degree, but I am determined to be the advocate and encourager to my family and friends!
Wow this explains so much about why I lock up so tight when I feel judged about my weight. I have been grappling with guilt and condemnation for decades, over knowing what to do about it yet feeling frozen and unable to ! I’ve been stuck knowing failure to be my consistent outcome to my every effort and I know the real problem lies inside of my thinking . It’s hard being a Christian with a problem so visible. People make suggestions and want to help but often their well meaning “ help” locks me up more. I never could understand and just blamed myself for not being teachable or humble enough to admit my problems. I will be listening to this again. Thank you , Dr Cloud
There is power in our words and in our voice. I share a similar experience from when I was a new student in 7th grade. A choir teacher pulled me up before the class with another student and had us both sing. Then she proceeded to explain that I could not carry a tune unlike David who was amazing. Last Sunday the pastor talked about how important singing is to God. He encouraged fathers to sing over their families. I have never seen this done. This week my husband reminded me that he remembers that I sang over our children. I sing on Sunday and sometimes in the car. It’s my voice and it sounds good enough for God. I found your message very helpful and will try to apply the wisdom you shared. God Bless
Hi Henry, I was praying and it came to me how incredibly fruitful it would be if a psychologist, such as yourself, had a channel on CBN. A channel with different episodes with topics of mental health with the Bible mixed in. People can get the mental health they need, accessible to them. I'm one of them. GOOD mental health is expensive and out of reach. Just a thought, but while I was praying, so we need to take it seriously. God bless.
Please tell me the verse that you said they would collapse and have depression or rebel. This happened with me and my daughter. I LOVE to have the scripture. I love all of the videos you are posting!!

I remember the first time I went to AA. I immediately felt accepted and safe, like I belonged. I would never have felt like that in a church.
