      Werner Herzog: "So one day we were just larping around when this fucking asshole shows up, starts mumbling about how he's the wrath of God or some shit. We followed him around for a while and after a week or so only me and the camera crew remained, all the while that wierdo was left on the raft."

      @@manolomorenomoreno5054 Funny is, there WERE german conquistadores in service of the Spanish crown (allthough probably not in the expedition, this film is based on), which were mostly operationg in modern day Venezuela, i think. German merchant houses gave money, and German mercenaries and some minor nobles did lead several expeditions. It was however a rather brief episode and ended mostly not so well. Not always as bad as Aguirres expedition, but pretty bad...
