(Hah! After 3 years I am proud to be the first comment...) This video saved my 5 year old leaf blower from the trash. My motor started squealing like a flock of Canadian geese. I only needed access to the motor so I could shoot WD-40 inside it and, voila, no squeal. WD-40 is NOT good for this but its all I had (will flush out the WD40 with silicone spray once I get some). Your demonstration of accessing the motor made this possible -- I could not see how to get that silver-ish snap-in cowling apart. Looks to me like you had already taken it apart because mine required considerable prying to get it off, then it was trivial to remove the screws. Thanks for your video!
