  • This second part video, let's look at all the BenQ Zowie mice, the EC3-C, the S2-C, the ZA13B, and the FK1-C. What is the best gaming mouse for you? We'll also do a deep comparison between each Zowie mouse and comparable mice from other companies. How do Zowie's wired mice hold up to 2022 and what's available? That's what we'll discuss here.

As an avid mouse tryer ive been through a ton of mice and there is no replacement or clone for the shape and size of the fk1+, s1, ec1 and any of the za lineup. Personally I main the s1-c and the shape is just awesome. The shape beat out all the features and weight of my viper v2 pro, gpx, xm1 and all the others that now reside in my cabinet.

Dude after testing out the Zowie mice, most other mice feel like toys in comparison haha. Definitely get where you’re coming from. You excited for the wireless? They’re starting with the EC line first it looks like

Which mouse is closest to Fk2? I would like a good wireless alternative. 😬

That’s a tough one. Viper and Model O (not mini or minus) are probably the closest, but each has a difference. Model O is very close in terms of top-down profile, but is noticeably taller, especially at the front end. The viper has very similar profile looking at it from the side, but from a top down perspective the front end flares out much wider at the front. Those would be my recommendations, you have to choose do you want an FK2 with a taller front end or a wider front end. My preference is the viper by a long shot though due to generally better QC, but also I have wider hands and like flatter mice.

  • @Corrupt_be
    @Corrupt_be Год назад +2

Viper isn't a valid replacement for an FK2:
    - Front flares out to much
    - Overall feels way "fatter" or bulkier than the FK2
    - Viper Mini has more of a back hump --> not everyone likes this
Overall for people with smaller hands who like their mice fairly flat and no back oriented hump, there aren't a lot of replacements that really work. Glorious is about the only one that gets close but has its own issues.
If Razer releases a Viper mini that has the regular Viper internals without the back hump (basically a Viper mini that's a true miniature Viper in every way, with just smaller dimensions), I will switch in a heartbeat though.
Steelseries Aerox 3 series needs some work (Why is the sensor placed so much in the back? Wireless cutting out? Why use a supbar sensor in the Aerox 3 as opposed to the Aerox 5?), but if they put in the work, I'd consider it as well. I'd honestly say this is the only shape I consider superior to the FK2 or Glorious O- for small hands, but everything else is just disappointing so I swapped back to the FK2... again.

True, it isn’t a 1:1 replacement, but it does fill a similar niche of flat mid-size symmetrical mice. That front flare is why it feels so much bulkier than the FK and why I don’t use it more. And yeah, the viper mini fits a different niche, more claw grip really. The mini hump is actually higher than the full size Viper funny enough, but that’s why a lot of people go crazy for it over the regular size.
I was a big fan of the Aerox 3, one of my first videos actually. Mained it for a good while because of the shape, despite the dated sensor and placement. But yeah fiddling with sensor position isn’t the best idea. You may get a few people like it, some don’t mind, but then some will hate it. It’s be a safer recommendation with a centrally located sensor for sure. Luckily I never ran into connection issues.I honestly don’t entirely mind the older sensor, not perfect but plenty accurate for most use cases, but the MSRP asking price doesn’t match the component quality. At sale price it’s much more fair. That model O- tho. That really is the closest in shape, but yeah it’s made by Glorious haha. My hope is that they have a swappable hump on the upcoming Viper Mini wireless similar to Xtrfy’s mice. Then you could have a flat FK style mouse or a taller, more comfy hump for claw

    - They have a b series v2 it comes with paracord cable like the c series (also the new stress relief v2) kept the 16 step scroll wheel and kept the old weight of the b series. Link to b series v2: ruclips.net/video/dDMocAOJjts/видео.html
The video explains why they make a b series v2
    - zowie should make a zowie s3-c (shrunken version of the zowie s2-c)
    - zowie have a wireless mouse couple of pro player’s are using it dycha is in the ec2-cw and apex is on the ec1-cw
    - not everyone want’s wireless mouse some are just like the simplicity of a cable (like me, i prefer wired mouse) i own a wireless mouse and that is the g305 but i don’t see a performance difference between wired and wireless so i stick to wired
    - most of the copycats of zowie mouse is not really a 1:1 exact shape, dimensions, size, curves. A good example is the xlite v2 and ec2-c most people say it’s really an ec2 shape but it’s not the xlite is kinda like the ec 1.5 not really close to an ec2 shape, oh and the xlite mouse doesn’t feel premium in hand compared to any zowie mouse

      - Oh cool! That video looks like it came out like a couple weeks before I recorded this video. Good to know, thanks dude.
= That would be nice, yeah. The S2 feels comfy but a little smaller size would be nice for more options and for better micro adjustments
+ Yep, I’ve seen those Twitch clips floating around. Not available to the public yet. And from the rumors I’ve read so far they only have the EC being made to wireless for now. The others will likely take a while longer. Hopefully the next one is the ZA shape, that would be the smartest move.
~ True. But it’s all preference anyway. I like keeping my desk clear of cable clutter personally. But then you have to worry about battery life. Pros and cons to everything. Since wired and wireless perform the same at this point with current tech, people can choose based on their personal priorities.
? Yep, not all of them are exact copies.
The Xlite actually falls dead center between an EC2 and an EC3, and the Xlite mini is a full size down from the EC3. The sizes aren’t the same but the shape is almost exactly 1:1, perhaps I didn’t communicate that clearly in the video. But that might be what someone wants anyway, hand sizes are very variable. And yes, it doesn’t have the same premium feeling of a Zowie mouse, I talk about how well made and premium Zowie mouse are in the video. Zowie mice have the best build quality hands down. But similar to wireless, not everyone prioritizes a premium feel in a mouse. Some would rather use a 40 gram mouse that feels like papier-mâché 😂 I personally prefer a more sturdy mouse, but again different strokes for different folks.

I’m glad that you understand people’s preference, pros and cons. However some weird people on r/mousereview sub don’t understand a personal preference i know a guy who prefer wired mouse even though it’s the same shape, he got downvoted to oblivion just because he likes wired mouse and he explains why he prefer it, he explain what needed to be explained, why he choose it and people still don’t understand it and instead of respecting each other’s opinion and preference turns out shitting on someone's preference.

Yeah, Reddit is a great place for sharing info and learning but it’s also a bit of an echo chamber sometimes. The way I see it is live let live. Could there be some optimal, ‘perfect’ set up? Sure, but what’s perfect for one person might be sub-optimal for the next.

ever since i broke both of the side buttons on my ec2b i dont buy into that premium quality of zowie anymore.
the feet were trash, the cable was terrible, the clicks were ok and the shape was good.
i switched to a viper mini, but ut was sadly too small. the viper felt more premium than the zowie in any aspect and was cheaper and lighter. better cable, better feet, better clicks, side buttons. eveb my aimlab scores went up a bit and i only played ergo mice until then. but it was also too small and made me use a very aggressive claw, which was too straining over time.
got the xlight v2 and again, everything better than on the zowie. ok, it has holes, but they really didn't bother me too much. what i didn't like were the kailh 8.0s everyone is raving about. the opticals in the viper mini were just better with better latency.
sooo, i ordered a viper v2 pro now to finally put an end to this massive waste of money.
the only thing I've learned so far is that any shape will do for me if it has sufficient up to date specs and isn't too small. if there's a good cable on it, wireless isn't that great of an update if you can figure out how to suspend it. i just drilled a hole in the wall and used a zip tie with a screw and got the cable in the air wherever i go on my mousepad.

Oh shoot, that sucks. I had pretty decent luck with the units I bought for testing thankfully. I feel the same way about the viper though, it feels very premium for the current asking price. And same, I actually like holes in the mouse as long as it isn’t too flimsy, feel some fresh air during intense games. Agree on the switches as well. The feel of the 8.0’s is nice and poppy, but I personally don’t mind the feel of opticals at all and the lower delay & longer lifespan is definitely worth it.
Have you tried the 8K Viper? If you have a monitor with 240hz or higher, you gotta give it a try. It isn’t game breaking by any means but it definitely feels much nicer and smoother than 1khz

@@GekkoTechGaming i am still on a 1050ti with a 165hz monitor. it's not great but it's ok for CSGO. i am waiting for the prices to come down on a 3070ti, then get a zowie 240hz after that.
haven't had the chance to try out the viper 8k yet, and after i got the v2 pro i am rather happy with what i got. this sensor sync stuff they have in it feels good enough for me at 1k hz. then again i am just playing facetit, MM and very little aim trainers.
i think optimumtech made a pretty good video about the hz scaling and end to end latency. what i can take from it is that i can get used to most shapes, but not to high latency, double click issues and sensor delay.
