I like the shape and wood selection however, next time take your time in sanding since there are still tool marks ok.

Watched just enough of this video to see the dangerous action with the chainsaw to only comment. Surprised RUclips would allow such a video on their site

Soooo, you’re saying RUclips should ban the video because a chainsaw wasn’t used the way you would use one?

You asked if l thought youtube should ban this video yes if RUclips put safety first. The piece is not held securely while being cut with a chainsaw, the piece is mowing around while cutting is being attempted while constantly being repositioned and l can not see any PPE. I think you have guessed the answer 😱

@@larryhill6187 Do you realize how many videos RUclips would have to go through to see if proper safety is being used? Safety on thousands of things not just chainsaw related activities. Who determines what is proper? Do they need to hire a credentialed professional from OSHA with the proper training? What in the hell does a handful of nerds at RUclips know about chainsaw safety? What your asking for is completely ridiculous and completely unrealistic.

@@jaydee5447 should not have to be OSHA, it is clear there was a lack of common sense. Some Facebook groups will remove videos they deem to lack common safety practices. I had a video removed because l did not show that l have had checked for voltage after l had unplugged an electric motor to check for an open winding. Added that to the video and all was well.

He was being very kind in only mentioning the chainsaw. Whoever the person was who made this video, my advice would be just don't do it. It would take too long to list all the things that were both bad and unsafe. The video was so sped up that it is pointless to watch it because you can't see anything properly. But even at that speed it is possible to see that the person has no idea how to turn wood. I find it difficult to understand why a video such as this was made in the first place. Does this person not know how bad they are? They need to go and take basic lessons and then spend a few years developing the skills needed to turn safely and skillfully. As for accusing the person who mentioned the bad chainsaw technique, there is no reason to accuse them of being "ridiculous" and "unrealistic". They were only trying to point out how dangerous it is. Instead of jumping all over them you could at least allow that they have a point about safety.

Nice but the finished piece looks warped.
