I have literally seen this video like 10 times and never get tired of it. I love it, i love seeing your figs and how you eat them, it gives me strength to wait for fig season here in Mexico.
Thank you so much for explaining how to tell ripenes. I don't have the dark type too, so I am so glad you shared this! Also, thanks for telling us the edible parts too! I always wonder about that for new fruit. :) Have a blessed day!
Thank you so much, I live in South Florida, been growing a few fig tree the last 4-5 yrs, and they will never produce any figs, maybe the weather here, finally last spring one of my fig trees filled up with figs, I was so happy, I must of waited to long to pick, since your video thought me the correct time to pick, I waited until the where almost Brown, they tasted terrible,, LoL , so now I know why, thank you my friend, will let you know when my next batch starts ♥️👍🇮🇹🇮🇹
hi i am from pakistan.i am student of computer engenering ,on side i love and i like gardening,i have a garden where i spend most of my/free time .In my garden i have 2 varaties of fig trees the yellow one and dark black.its good to eat figs fresh but the taste of afghani dry figs is incredible .so you can try that to dry some figs for your self as a hobby.
If you have an attached garage or unheated basement, you could grow one in a pot and once it drops its leaves in the fall, bring it into your cool but not too frosty spot for the winter. Put it outdoors in full sun spring through fall.
Lucky you I grew Peter’s honey and Yellow long neck but am in Ayiti (Haiti) from cuttings in the USA. They are fruiting but drop after awhile, guess because here we have no fig wasps for pollination

I have a tree in my house having a very delicious fresh fruit.
My favorite way to eat fresh figs is mixed with plain Greek yogurt and roughly chopped walnuts or pecans. Yum!
OMG they look so yummy. We still havent tasted a fig but we are attempting to propogate a cutting and crossing our fingers it roots.
That sounds awesome!!

Those two varieties are both “common”, meaning they do not require pollination to ripen fruit.
Looks so amazing! Nice video! 💪
Thanks for the video. I’m in China and bought some figs and wasn’t sure how to eat them Ha!
Thank you for sharing!! One of my friends just gave me some figs to try for my first time. Now I’m really excited! Cheers from Louisiana USA! 😊🤙🏼
Wow, definitely look and taste delicious 👌
Don't they have to ripen first? Our figs are purple when ripe and only others I have seen or eaten have been purple, are yours a different variety?
Yes this variety is green when it’s ready! It’s called Paradiso ☺️
Do your figs have larvae?
Excellent, i love you figs plants
thank you!
@@RivieraDreamer Do you some cutting to sell. Thanks

I don't know it..would like to taste it
We live in Vancouver and our figs taste like sand. Why is my life like this?
❤ from srilankan 🇱🇰
Which place in Italy do u live
I was living in Monterosso al Mare in this video but now I live in La Spezia ☺️
Do they have dead wasps in them? Cause some do
I didn’t find any thank goodness! But I have definitely heard about that risk 😂
Lucky you
What about the bugs inside
Put blue cheese on them and in the air fryer...for like 5 min... to die for!!!
Oooh sounds amazing!!
Needs honey, a little bacon/proscuitto and some balsamic vinegar to make it real nice (and ofc the cheese)
wow, i'm hungry now :-) What variety is it?
Ah! I see it down below in your comments, Paradiso! Thank you.
Did you know how much price in my country..it's expensive 😂😂
Good fig
I'm Korean fig farming
A fig is the only fruit that is pollinated on the inside. By wasps.
Only a certain variety is pollinated that way. There are many types of figs that are now self-pollinating.
They look soo yummy, bought some fig today for the first time, only had 1 tsp and I couldnt finish it 😕
Why
Our Indian fig and yours italian fig is not the same. Haha
By the way, nice garden and u look so beautiful, so gorgeous ❤😍
❤ wow ❤😊
Wow..l love figs.. Nic garden where are you from??
Italy!
GOOD video. COOL tunes.
I only eat them baked .
With the amount of figs you ate, I assume you were on the toilet for awhile after
i eat the skin. still delicious.
Gave only 2 figs to the lovely goats? How could you. 🙂
🤭🤭
But theres a hole at the bottom
Amazing Spontaneous personality
Time to eat wasps basically is the title
Unlikely: most fig trees that are not commercially cultivated produce fruit without pollination. People are not going to buy male and female plants.
@@AelwynMr it was a joke and Ye I agree
I have always been a bit of scared of figs because the ways they pollinate. Your figs seem delicious and wasp-free!
Not all pollinate with wasps. Many are self-pollinating...
