thanks for trying to help, but this didnt solve my problem. its nt the default browser and it doesnt show in startup. only just started happening. i hate this bloatware, now down the rabbithole of how to remove edge entirely
I made the Edge theme bright red so when I log on, the first thing I do is close the red browser. I used to get confused between Chrome and Microsoft so I just did that because nothing else worked.
Doesn't work, Edge still starts at logon

For me it comes up automatically on startup with news and weather. I don't want that coming up.

The eaaiest way is just not to install windows. Just use Linux. You wont be spyed on, dont have to worry about ninja updates that brick your system.
