Microsoft Independent Advisor & Audio Specialist here, MRT is Microsoft's outdated Antivirus Defender Model from Windows 7, Windows Antivirus Defender needs MRT to work. MRT is not capable of removing "every virus", most of the time it will fail, which is why I would advise you to instead run a Windows Antivirus Defender Offline-Scan, which can be done through Windows Antivirus Settings. Doing an Offline-Scan will prompt your computer into a Windows 7 state, where no virus can hide.

Adware and Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs). It won't detect adwares cause it targets malwares. Mobile malwares: It won't detect those too cause it's designed for Windows, not for Android or iOS
