My biggest question about China’s management style is regarding upgrades and design freezes. Western management focuses on reaching a hard design freeze where no improvements are allowed and instead are deferred to follow-on upgrade contracts. This works well for companies because they get the government to sign off as completed a contractural requirement even if it will have to be immediately upgraded/replaced to be effective. But China may not be driven hard by lawyers, accountants and managers who have perverse incentives to allow/encourage wasted effort that will have to be redone under a new sole-source contract later. China may empower their engineers to approve common sense design changes as soon as they are obviously needed instead of wasting effort. This ties into being more flexible about design changes even after the design freeze.

Hi Tony, China has certainly started to build purpose-built drone ships. The Type 076 LHD is generally expected to have a fixed-wing complement of high-end drones. The drone carrier and rotary drone carrier we saw previously in a Yangtze shipyard are other examples, although these are probably used as targets during naval exercises. There are also non-military drone ships like the Zhu Hai Yun, and conceivably there might be a non-declared military role. As for how far the PLAN will go in terms of drone ships, only time will tell, particularly with respect to how many 076 LHDs they will acquire. In terms of drone defences, there are no dedicated anti-drone warships per se (although there are certainly land-based anti-drone systems). This is still a new field of naval warfare, and in my view the effective countermeasures against different types of drones are quite different. Against larger and more expensive high-end drones, traditional area air defences onboard destroyers should still be effective like they would be against fixed-wing aircraft. Against small drones, long-range SAMs are not going to be economical, so you probably need to rely on cheaper close-range munitions like dual-purpose guns, short-range SAMs and electronic jammers. These are present already on ships to an extent. Against surface drones, lower end defences like cannons and machine guns (possibly rocket launchers), combined with EW jammers, might suffice. Different existing assets in the PLAN will be effective against different drone threats. One thing to note about small surface drones is that they have proven to be less effective in the Ukraine War as time goes by. Initially, they have had lots of successes, disabling Russian warships like the Admiral Makarov in port. But the Russians have become quite good at countering these drones over time with electronic jamming, low-end weapons, and targeting drone operators and training facilities. These counters didn't seem to require that big of an investment on the part of the Russians, just more experience in fighting these drones. So, I am quite skeptical if surface drones are really a game changer as their initial success in Ukraine suggests. This is even more so if you shift the operating environment to the vast Pacific where drone operators cannot be as close to their targets as they are in the Black Sea.

I hope you truly did China if you did. Bravo😅 I'm really proud of this accomplishment. You once purchased an aircraft carrier from the United States. Hoping to get this technology. If you were part of the kingdom of Zion... How did your people know about Jesus so fast after the crucifixion but then it went silent in the Bible like he was defeated
I Wonder why Chinese still could not build nuclear power aircraft carriers😉
Yulan Class is better it make sense, Fujian is money wasting only doctrine for Fujian is to learn how to build and manage a supercarrier and maybe how to build a carried aircrafts ... for taiwan is futile... Mainland China is a bigger and better aircraft carrier. Please next time a Video on type 75 and 76 not on admiral toys thanks
Nice looking future reef
👍👍👍
Viva Fujian
Viva China
China never shows inferior items to the world.
…I know they sell them 😂
Comme tous jours une réplique Américaine
Tbh, unless those tugboats are super huge, it doesn't look that big, especially with only 2 small elevators that look big enough for one small aircraft.
Its only slighty smaller than the ford class(about 15-20 meter shorter, width is actually slighty wider) Each elevator can hold 2 J-15 which is simlair to the size of F-14.
I am Chinese, and I know that the 'Fujian' vessel is just a fishing boat; there is no need for alarm.
😂
Fake Chinese. Get some balls and behave like a man. Don't use fake identity!
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
Looking for skid marks wow
look at the captains underwear,,that is the only place ,that there are skidmarks

I'm here welcoming our Chinese overlords. Starting to learn Mandarin. Australia my homeland so very fucked.
Australia has some big friends.
You're distant but never alone.
@Magyarmeister said the same thing aboot the Emu overlords.
@Magyarmeister...Hell yeah y'all are! especially if everybody else in Australia thinks like that! Sounds a lot like 'some' prefer it that way too, but whatever!...So yeah, learn Mandarin as fast as you can, cause your homeland is fucked either way!!!...but we're built different over here, that ain't how we roll...
China does not want to be a hegemon because greater power comes with greater responsibility. China has consistently refrained from interfering in the internal affairs of other countries, which also demonstrates its unwillingness to become a global hegemon.
Let's be real, it will sink trying to get out of dock, it's so poorly made
Source: trust me bro
The video literally shows the ship in open ocean.
Isn't an aircraft carrier designed to launch aircraft? Wha is the surprise?
Reverse speed is important for a Chinese aircraft carrier that will never engage in combat.
No wonder, I have always heard that American aircraft carriers can only move forward, not backward. Based on your comments, it seems to be true.
European and American aircraft carriers can only move in one direction like an angry stupid cow.

Tofu-Dreg copy of western carriers....thats why its followed around by a blue water tug 24/7.
Oh boy…I see you are dripping with envy lol
@@amunra5330 nah, my country has been winning wars with carriers for over 100 years. I'm good.
@@cnknguyen Your country has not fought a war against another naval power since 1945. You are desperate. Welcome to reality.
@Karthagast that's because everyone else's navy knows better than to even try. Yall foreigners forget that the US could literally have taken over control of the world after ww2 😆 But being the most decent people we chose otherwise.
Why is the carrier going backwards.
The ship is a plywood mockup
We have Brahmos missiles with her name on it. Should she come 300 kms from our launch bases she will be a black sinking wreck in less than 7 minutes!
Look cow poop 💩
300 kilometers is too short. It is even inferior to China's rocket launchers, thus Brahmos lags behind.
😂😂😂😂
it’s just a BOAT until jets are landing n taking off, I’d call it I floating chinese restaurant
Why is smoke coming out of the ship? Another tofu ship.
You are illegal immigrant 😂😂😂 be careful trump dont deport you
probably burning some of that heavy fuel oil like Russia uses to power her engines
Another idiot who knows nothing but BS.
Looking at your fake image, their carrier apparently goes in reverse 😂
Everyone is worried that this is actually ai synthesis. It's just a big fishing boat.Let's keep America first in our dreams.😅😅😅
Can someone explain to me why there is smoke, if it is called nuclear carrier? I don't understand
It's not nuclear powered.
Nobody called Fujian "nuclear carrier".
Chinese seamen are barbecuing on that ship
Their third carrier with absolutely no modern naval combat experience with technology they stole to reverse engineer. Yeah a real threat!
Standard troll remarks
A aircraft carrier with no aircraft or a giant laundry mat.

Ill chime in and say the Allies having been doing Carrier Tatics since World War I......where the heck was China at then?.....I dont think China can master 100 years of Carrier ops between 2024 and 2027 , even with their highly advanced rocket force......I'm not giving China total victory, but dont under estimate each other....that's how problems happen.
6:28 since they are mock-ups, why do they even have wings, bruh?
👍🇨🇳🙂☮️🌏❗️
suspense...!...
You must be out of your mind to compare this poor copy to be equal the a US carrier.
SB
west news is joke and joe😂
Its Beautiful for a Reef setting. Just because they copy the outside of a Carrier, Doesn't mean the inside and Fighter Jets can match the US. Over 80yrs of experience and sacrifice a New Carrier can never Match. I just hope they never Challange the USN.
If they did launch any aircraft they would be boasting like crazy. Also if they did this they would be showing video of it.
All BS their launch mechanism will either work well and rip off the undercarriage of the aircraft or simply throw the aircraft into the water.
Super carrier is quite a misnomer for this carrier it’s a facade.
You'll be joining the bismarck soon
Tofu navy. Like 80% of what they make is a copy of someone else's work and they got it all wrong. 😊😊
😂😂😂God bless CHINA
Until actual video of full flight ops. This ship is nothing.
🤮
Man I love your Indian accent and sympathies for what you repeatedly say the planes are just mockups 😂

You seen nothing yet. Stay alive and watch....
And you are inferior to dogsh8t 😂
Bro this is non nuclear powered but able to catapult by using DC current. It’s one of its kind. And the radar and electronic warfare system, them are light years ahead of the US.
Comment by a Ukrainian Boot-Licking LoSeR
ROFLMFAO! I can assure you, nthing will be catapult off 003 for the next 10 years.
how? by using what ?
These are Antiquaited Methods Of War. Besides did i here that these are not Nuke Powered!???
Chinese are wise, they want the West to continue in the usual way while they are prepping the 'next thing" 😂😂😂
The odds this carrier will ever living up to expectations are pretty much nonexistent. Corruption and buffoonery has turned what should have been a fine ship into yet another Chinese tofu dreg nightmare.
People like you sure do feel the need to tell warn everyone about how not dangerous and incapable China is, this speaks for itself 😂😂😂
Speculation and cartoons. Knock off the propaganda crap and SHOW US. We are not stupid.
White people never bring up Daniel Duggan 🤷♂️
Is that before or after the jets were launched into the sea? LOL, what a joke!
