WAIT OKAY OKAY THOUGHTS ABT THIS - Doomsday and Why playing at the same time feels like the person (or people) involved in Doomsday are telling the person singing Why to suck it and "that's how it is, get over it" - The person singing Why is distraught, distressed. They're bitter over Doomsday. They're telling the story of Doomsday which tells itself simultaneously, creating the perfect blend of retrospection and living through the event - Doomsday and the ticking of the clock in the song fading to reveal Why is... absolutely beautiful. It creates a fantastic (and very well done) sense of regret and longing and... a story being told, a story the singer doesn't want to remember. 10/10 absolutely lovely
When the 2 play together, it feels like Doomsday becomes the background song that gives a vibe to Why. For instance, when Doomsday says Walk Through Fire And Straight Into Hell, it lines up with Why Why Did You Lie, and it sounds amazing, and Doomsday sounds more backgroundish. Really good mashup.
The audio feels muddy to me in a lot of places, with the voices just overlapping at the normal pace of their songs, but the narrative is interesting enough to forgive that minor flaw
