    My ex husband never helped do a darn thing around the house let alone help with a fun cooking project. You are very blessed.

    Years ago we had a cookie exchange with a handful of women. We had to make 10 dozen of the same cookies and each person had a different cookie they had to make. We all wound up with 10 dozen different cookies for Christmas. It was heaven.!!

    I bake at Christmas, a lot, I thought. This is totally impressive. I tuned in to get motivated and that I did. Congratulations on your organization and having such a cool husband. I have one of those too. May every year get better and better. The Blessings of The Lord to you! 💕

      And I thought I made a lot of cookies at Christmas. I am getting older in age and cutting down on my baking a lot. I do enjoy still giving out cookie boxes though.

    I make cookies in my cake business, your cookies look great a good tip is to put scrunched up tissue paper or was paper in the box first then sit the cookies on top ,this raises them up but also stops them getting damaged x

    My sister and I sponsored a youth group fundraiser of baking and selling Christmas cookies. Often more than 10,000 a year. Rolled cookies off the list, but shaped and drop cookies, bars and such. As you showed, organization is key. And someone who's only job is watching the oven. Great work.

    What an prodigious amount of work! You can easily bake the prepared cookie dough balls straight from the freezer--especially the chocolate chip cookies. That is what I do!

    I bake about 600 cookies/bars/candies every Christmas to give away to neighbours, Dr., garbage and recycling collectors and I truly enjoy it. It’s actually the only time of year I enjoy baking. The rest of the year, it’s pre-made cookies popped in the oven. My family loves Christmas, it’s the only time of the year I go nuts. But I must say, with the cost of baking supplies during this atrocious inflationary times (butter in Canada in my city is minimum $6/lb!) , plus the cost of running my oven for 5 days straight, I’m a lot less enthusiastic about doing it as a “gift”. I toned it down this year to 400 items lol. I ate 50.
    Your presentation though is absolutely stellar!! Good for you! So much love in those sweet boxes ❤

    Tip: Buy yourself a paper cutter from the hobby store...about $30. Find it with the paper crafts and scrapbooking stuff. It will save you so much time and will be money well spent. You can even make all of your note cards well in advance.
    I really enjoyed your video.

    Loved watching your process which was incredible! It’s been many years since I’ve done sugar cookies and getting myself motivated to complete the task before December 16th deadline to ship. My daughter and I would make hundreds of them before but no more as it will just be about 6 dozens this year.🤞

    I dont think its a good idea to pack many kinds in the same box. The tastes will mix and eventually they all taste nearly the same.

    • @tonysopranosduck416
      @tonysopranosduck416 Год назад +4

      I found that with mine! One year I made the most delicious ginger cookies and melting mints and packaged everything into their tins, threw in the freezer for 2 days before delivering them. What a bummer! All the shortbread and butter cookies all tasted like ginger mint. I find it’s okay if you package and drop off within a couple hrs it’s okay, anything longer like next day, you’re hooped.

      @@tonysopranosduck416wrap your ginger cookies in cling wrap first, that's what I've done for years, any stronger flavors need wrapped or kept separate, but the cling wrap does just fine solving this issue 😊

    • @colleenpritchett6914
      @colleenpritchett6914 6 месяцев назад

      I package each type separately. It makes a huge difference between soft and crisp cookies as well

    • @Pila426
      @Pila426 6 месяцев назад

      @colleenpritchett6914 Agreed. Anything flavored with peppermint needs to be stored separately from other treats. Crispy and soft items also should be stored separately. Still fun to watch this.

    Now why what are the cookies for I didn't hear what they were for I seen how many you're doing but I didn't know what you were boxing them for is it for charity or is it to sell or are you donating them to a food bank or something or what are the cookies for I'm sorry I didn't I didn't hear that I'm an elderly grandmother I didn't hear what they were for

      She explained at the end they are for church families (and single patrons), family and her husband’s work. These aren’t being sold from what I heard, just made as a gracious and loving gift.
