Not a fan of Kate but it's funny how Kate is being made the villain in their toxic love story. Either William wanted to be caught or he had no other options. William complaining about it 13yrs later is an indication that he doesn't like to take responsibility for his own actions. The night swimming article is wild and yes I think they are trying to establish a reason for her not ever being seen again. Obviously whoever is leaking these stories is desperate and not very bright. Just because people have toned it down after the bench video doesn't mean that there aren't skeptics out there keeping track their weird behavior, and the fact that Kate hasn't been credibly seen going on 5 months.

They are doing the same things they did to Diana. Kate and Wills married all these years and suddenly Charles has this close bond with her, then gives her a special title. Way over the top too suddenly. Obvious something is being set in motion.
Here’s some thoughts:
Part of the deal with William and Kate and the tabloids is that they provide CURRENT pictures of themselves and the children at important milestones (birthday, anniversaries, Christmas etc) in exchange for privacy. So when they haven’t provided a CURRENT picture for their wedding anniversary and it’s not good form to try invade their privacy due to the big C, the piper still must get paid. It’s not like they aren’t providing photos, maybe they thought an unpublished pic would be enough, much like the doctored Mothering Sunday pic, it just doesn’t quite fit the criteria especially due to the lack of current Kate pics. It’s not a new story so it’s a dig rather than running with something more brutal which would indicate the gloves are off.
The tabloids are also losing money, cutting staff, royal news is really thin on the ground given Charles’s slimmed down monarchy that is also ageing and out on sick leave, I definitely.
There is a bit of other media pushback over the negative Sussex press they’ve been filling their columns with. And there is only so much mileage they can get out of jam especially as it undermines their narrative that Meghan has no friends and is being snubbed by Hollywood. That’s a hard sell as they loose the plot over the who’s who of jam recipients. There’s only so much that can be said about jam that isn’t available to be tasted, also they may have cottoned on to being used as marketing device. Who knows. The Schadenfreude is deep in the British psyche so they need to nasty bitch about someone. So a bit of Kate bashing from old might fill the pages, hey clicks, and prod her into releasing a current photo. Not to mention a few staff writers who have been towing the editorial line despite their better instincts might get some kind of cathartic relief out of bashing someone who has been given a cake walk at the expense of Palace sanctioned target.
Its probably true, but they have to tear her down to build William up for when he gets a new wife and takes over from Charles. I don't think William appreciates Kate as a partner...she has already given him kids, so she is of no use to him

I don't think she stopped other girls from marrying him. the nobility class was well aware of how Diana was treated. Their daughters may have been willing to "play with him" but they had no desire but that gilded cage life. They knew they would be happier finding a wealthy titled man not so much in the spotlight. That was why William kept going back to Kate. I feel badly she kept taking him back.

Really feel something is off.. the stationary with just the W on it ...really got me freaked me out about Kate. Add with all the other things that have happened...something is off. Also with Kate being so active and involved with various projects and is a type of person who would want to be a good influence/ mentor for others... I think if this was cancer...she would be active and open with her treatments . She is not the type to run and hide away...not to this extent anyway. I see a lot of ideas about maybe a stoke ....there are other reasons for brain damage. The one I think could be likely if William got mad and hit her...is brain bleed or blood loss through an injury(knife stab etc).. Flatmates is a better term, although that can of course also involve sharing a room within a shared flat.
Its not a better term when we don't call any living spaces here "flats" in the first place.
Technically, most college roommates in the US actually DO share a room with each other if they are living in college dorms. So in that sense, they really are literal roommates. That said, the term roommates is also used in a general sense, often for people sharing an apartment or home together where expenses are split. We don’t have flats here, so flatmate wouldn’t make any sense. Honestly, nobody here thinks twice about the term roommate, and knows/accepts what it’s referring to without confusion.

Flats & apartments seem to be the same sort of thing, and houses can be similar too (whether owned privately or my the university).
It's just that flatmate is the common name used in Scotland/UK I think, whereas North Americans use roommate.
Flatmates in the UK could I suppose cover flats/apartments & houses, and some may even share a room within one of these dwellings. I suppose housemate could also be used where an actual house is being shared (I shared a house one year, but can't remember if we called ourselves roommates or housemates - or was it just Big Brother that made that popular!
There's no confusion either in the UK, whether you'll hear flatmates not roommates ... unless students/friends are actually sharing a room!

Do you know what is the reason? It's pretty obvious if you stop and think for a while. The waleses issued their last new pics on their own SM without first handing them to the Royal rota as it is the agreement.
