- Get your kick to punch through a mix without even changing the level 👀
Transient shapers boost in a different way from the way that the limiter is cutting ✂️
A limiter is basically a compressor with an infinite ratio which pulls down everything in the mix 👇🏻
Hence, adding a transient shaper before a limiter will exaggerate the perceived dynamic range without actually increasing the dynamic range 🔊
This is one of the major secrets of getting punchy drums without them being too dynamic 👌🏻
My deep dive mixing course is currently on a summer sale so make sure you check that out at streaky.com

This one is fire
Wow what a good way to increase perceived loudness ❤❤❤❤❤
love it
Wow amazing
Nice tan brother!
Always learn something from this guy. Gotta follow him.
So you level out the transient, so you can add your own transient?
@streaky Do you have a Pro-tools version of this? thank you in advance! 🙏🏽
Whats is the concept behind this technic?
🙏🔥
Doesn't this still increase the volume of the drums? Sure the limiter is 1:1 but that's just at its input, the transient designer is earlier in the effect chain and increases the level before it ever touches the limiter input. I would love clarification if I'm wrong about this.
Bro he is just bringing low level (quiet) information up into the mix, whilst controlling the tops and the transients with the limiter. The audio is fuller, not louder, per se.
@@MarkSanteriaNah thats total BS the commentator above is right. Lot of RUclipsrs selling ish making money with the pub!
i mean, just use FET compression, way easier
On which DAW especially ? How about other DAWs
This is on logic but you can use a transient designer on other daws
“Secret” 😂
How to do it on FL studio?
same thing on Fl studio
Pro L2 wtf- alternatives?
Any one now what free plugins I can use for this??
I’m broke af 😂😂😂
Limiter No6
Couldn't tell any difference.
That’s way too subtle for someone like me. 😂
It’s the little things that add up in the end
@@jairedrob, to be honest, I've never believed in that. None of my mixes sounded the way I wanted them to without being heavy-handed with the processing, at least half the time.
@@BeautyInAPlasticBag do what sounds good. Thats the only rule
@@TakeHit0, absolutely correct.
@@BeautyInAPlasticBagas your ears develop you end up doing less it took me a long time for this to happen but mixes and mastering sound better for it
Sunburnt not streaky 😂
Another banging tip, this is getting out of hand, i might actually start writing good music... 👍
