I think we get emotional Jo because we want things to go back to normal and that was a normal thing to be able to do, celebrate life go to a theatre and either get taken away somewhere for a while or enjoy messages from people about life. I find now i am 60 i am very emotional and i look at so many things differently now to where i appreciate things more and really soak up everything around me. Have a great week lovely lady .
Wise words Jo - yes let us all live our lives without judgement - love everyone for themselves - their creed, colour and sexuality - we’re all only human - let’s embrace that 🙏
I found this week’s vlog such a love letter to central London. I used to live on the corner of Maple St and Fitzroy St back in the day and I miss it soooo much. It’s up there in the top 5 greatest cities in the world, I think. I love it so much and thank you Jo for bringing me a little piece every week. It means a lot, especially as I am now getting on a bit in years and to see you looking so fabulous in your beautiful clothes every week is such an inspiration. Thank you ❤️
Love Taboo, seen it twice. Once with Julian Clary and then with Mark Little. Got the Taboo cd in my car, which has been played to death. Even my children know the songs off by heart now.
You look great Jo. So full of energy and positiveness! Yes people are extraordinary! I’ve been self isolating for two years and I love following your vlogs.
Dear Jo, I've just discovered you channel and have binge-watching your vlogs ever since! What an inspiration you are! Thank you for showing us that vloggers can be all ages. I too miss the early eighties and the new romantics era. I'm 51, so I was a pre-teenager then, but was already very much into music and crazy in love with Duran Duran! :D Greetings from Portugal!
Great vlog Jo. The late 70s and 80s were my hayday I loved the times punk , new romantic , mod revival there was so much going on and so much creativity we thought nothing of all the different types of people expressing themselves I don't think we see enough of it now xxx
How I loved losing myself browsing and buying . Shopping afternoons in Brighton , Worthing , Chichester or Guildford . Miss it so much . Watching you do the posh shops reminds me of my old life . I think there was an Anthropology in Guildford . I loved going in there . A feast for the eyes . Bought a few little items from there . I haven't done the shops in over two years now . 😪 Myrtle looks so cuddly. ♡
Yes I agree about being emotional in the theatre, after the first song/introduction in Lion King, tears roll down my face! I do love Myrtle! I think I say it every week but she’s so lovely and I can see that she has a lovely personality. Thank you for inspiring me to be myself, your vlog always lifts me every week. ❤️xx

You are definitely not a bad blogger ...I enjoyed this weeks blog so much I watched it twice !! ....you struck a cord when you said all the characters have gone ...I lived in London for a few years in the late eighties and early nineties and I loved every minute ..I’m coming up to a big birthday in December and I’m so lucky to be able to look back at that time and savour the memories.. still love my life in the sticks even after the last two sad years ...I found your channel a few short weeks ago but I’ve watched quite a few of your older bloggs to catch up .. You make me smile and that’s no bad thing 😃
Living your best life Jo! You and I live such different lives but I absolutely adore watching your vlogs and listening to your show, you really inspire me 💕
What a great vlog. It was so nice to go shopping with you, especially the peek into Anthropologie and Fenwicks. Totally get the emotional thing, its music with me. Myrtle is as gorgeous as ever. Stay safe
Jo, I love your videos so much...all the way from California, USA - I look forward to them all week!! I loved the last part of your video and your comment about Taboo....so resonated with me and my life and beliefs. I used to live in London and get emotional watching you in London and wish to return one day . . Thank you ❤
you are the highlight of my Sunday, Jo. I also will add that I live in the states and have been able to time my baking for friends and co-workers with your radio show. What a relaxing way to spend my time; giving but also receiving. I loved the shopping day out, and I miss London so much. It is nice to be able to at least catch glimpses of it on your walk-abouts. Love the dress!
I know how you feel about London, the theatre and emotions it evokes. Last week I was fortunate enough to go to Cabaret and at the end I sat blubbing for a good 10 minutes. It wasn’t just the desperately sad end to the story but the performance, sheer joy of watching talented people perform and just being there!
So enjoyed being on your shopping trip, makes me think about past times when we had lovely shops to go to. Lovely seeing Myrtle. Love to Mutti. Have a good week 🐞
Loved virtual shopping with you, thanks! Myrtle seemed to behave well on the bus and in the cinema, what a good girl! Taboo looked amazing from all the clips I saw, sad to miss it.
I totally get it Jo. The theatre for me is my addiction. Escapism at its best. I cry as soon as the orchestra starts up. Super human talent oozes out in to the audience. My happy place, I am so glad to hear it is one of yours too x
Hi Jo. Just back from two days in London for the first time in nearly 3 years! We went to the theatre, had pre show supper and lots of walking and taking photos. It was such a treat! On the subject of online publications most libraries offer it as a free service. I have access to loads of magazines for free, just in case anyone feeling the financial pinch. Xxxx
Another great vlog Jo! Myrtle certainly is a little nibbler, she is so sweet. Thankyou for showing us the sights and sounds of London. Have a good week Jo 😘❤️xx
Totally agree with you about being emotional. I went to see Paul Carrack perform and I felt the tears well up. Even the band were overcome with emotion because we had all waited for two years for this gig. And what a performance fantastic. Fabulous vlog 👌😘thank you
Dear Jo. I saw taboo a week ago after first seeing it 20 years ago. It is such an amazing show isn’t it and when I left I felt so uplifted. I just love it and all the characters and the individuality that it celebrates. Philip Sallon was in the audience and got up on stage at the end and danced. I haven’t stopped raving about it. Lots of love xxx
Hello from Montréal 🇨🇦. New to your channel. I do find it absolutely inspiring, full of great taste and class and also a lot of depth of mind ( sorry about my english, I do speak french ) ! Thank you for your beautiful work ! ♥️
Oh JO !! I get emotional just watching you getting emotional. I think the aura of live theatre and the interaction between human beings is the reason you ( and I ) get emotional when we see creative and talented people expressing REAL human feelings and conveying them beautifully to their audience. I love the fact that you are getting to experience live performances again and that you share them with us. I also love the " tours" of all the shops in London and just the entire "feeling" that the city gives off. I think it is so unique that the UK is so dog friendly and that there is actually a cinema that allows dogs !!! I've never heard of such a thing in the US but I feel certain it would go over well here if someone was brave enough to start doing it. Myrtle was adorable as always , her little face makes me smile every week. Enjoyed this vlog as always and look forward every Sunday to a new one. Thank you for all your hard work and I honestly don't know how you do all the things you do...you have such a full and interesting life....I have to say I am a little envious! Have a great week ahead !!!
Hello Jo, I've been watching your videos for a while now as my mum talked about you told me to have a peek at you as she knew I would enjoy them too. We love watching you venture around London! We are from grotty Coventry and love London, but it has been a couple of years either of us have been. Also just wanted to say, I'm 40 years old and I hope I will look as beautiful and glamorous as you do ❤🥰 Keep being the lovely girlie you are xxx
This was one of your best Jo 👌.. so enjoyed it .. a bit of everything.. loved seeing the theatre shots , I understand your emotion... hopefully we can one day get back to seeing lots of fabulous individuals doing what makes them happy ... love to you and Myrtle xxxx
I get a very similar free service to Readley online via my local council Library account. I also get all international newspapers and magazines and you can select which country.
Myrtle at the Movies! How attentive she was. May I just applaud Filipe (again) for his choice of music to accompany your vlog. It’s always so appropriate and uplifting. A perfect soundtrack.
I came along and enjoyed your blog and am envious of the interesting life you live . I have a lovely home and husband and my children have all left home so loneliness can be a problem but I find things to do as well as watching you 😊💐
You’re so right when you say about the artistic individuals and where have they gone. It’s funny that, in a time where there’s such talk of acceptance of diversity, that there actually is less individuality and less actual acceptance of it. I think people are afraid to be different at the moment. So paradoxical. Your skin looks fabulous by the way with that Next skincare range you are using. It sounds lovely and I want to get some. Xx
Oh all those beautiful puppies. The things you remind me that I need to do after 2 years of this pandemic.Theatre, walk through Oxford Street and the rest of central London.Fenwicks arrh...
Myrtle is just so adorable 😍.. After going to watch the symphony; I got very emotional. After these past couple of years, I must say how much I have missed watching live performances. I know things are getting better-but oh so slowly-Love to Myrtle!
Hi Jo: Oh, how fun - a Doggie Birthday Party & matinee (too cute how Myrtle is sitting in her very aware movie pose - as though she's been there many times before!) ... 💖🎂🎥 Greetings from Southern California 🌅 ! Post outing --- dang, I hadn't realized ALL the stairs in your building - which obviously keeps you fit & tiny! 😊
I agree with you Jo regarding individuality. It looks like Aaron has it, he looked great. We love to visit Whitby during Goth week. The Goths look amazing.
There is never too much Myrtle……she is adorable.
Agree
Myrtle is so loveable.
Love watching Myrtle each week . She is just adorable. Love her theme tune !!
Cry away Jo, the last 2 years have been horrendous. You're right to be emotional, live your best life lovely ❤
