beautiful song - beautifully demonstrated...its the little extras robin puts in his lessons that bring it really alive. he just puts in a slightly different inversion - maybe without mentioning it! and yet it indicates another pathway you could explore if you wish. brilliant.
Thanks Robin, I was just reviewing this song out your Gypsy Songbook. In this video added some nice cords here in addition to the book. Thanks. It sounds great. I didn't know this one. Dix Pois Robin and hats off to Per George!
@@GypsyJazzSecrets You remind me of the clever Ian Date extension too. So much to explore in this tune. But it is distracting me from working on Paquito 🤫
Beautiful song. Dreamy song. It's 4:00 am in Cali and I just got up. What a second. Am I really awake?? Thanks for posting this agent Nolan. I'm going to learn even. Awesome.
It is a lovely tune. I play a Bb for the last note in the first bit of the melody line rather than an A cos I learnt the Colin cosimini version on a CD I got years ago.
Good and useful as always 👍🏻👌🏻 But, I can't choose and stick to one or two lessons to learn properly before jumping in to the next! You make me lost and confused with all your posting 😆. Perhaps when the Summertime lesson comes I will stick to it, for a little bit longer than usual 😋🙄🌻
Peter Hjemdahl haha yes it’s important to have direction and know where you’re going and how to get there. I am soon creating a new membership site with clear tracks to help you improve quickly and keep you on track. It’s my Gypsy Jazz Transfusion Club and will be perfect for you. Cheers! Robin
haha good luck with your replacement op mate! I'm referring to the kind of chord changes guys like Bireli Lagrene would play over this tune. Endless possibilities....the original chords sound very out of date in a jazz way and personally I always dig the hip changes ;-) Robin
Great advice at the end: play as much guitar as possible. Now there is a simple rule for life.
dingoswamphead that’s what it’s all about!

Good to come back to this one. FYI Robin does two longer, more detailed lessons on this in the Transfusion Club.
dingoswamphead yes it’s a good one and I played this exact intro with Paulus Schäfer last week. 🎸❤️Robin

Cool! I just pinched myself and the tea is on. Going to grab my guitar and learn this song.

yes I sometimes play that Bb as fits better with the G minor chord - cheers, Robin
Nice to have another look at this. It has become a favourite for me. BTW I like X X 0 11 10 9 then X X 0 12 11 10 for the Dma Gmi6 chords.
dingoswamphead for me too...Robin
dingoswamphead yes they are cute little voicings!
Found it. Nice Robin, thanks.
