  • This is my full Golfbuddy Aim W12 Golf Watch review. My Golf Spy and Golf Monthly suggest this is one of the best golf watches you can buy in 2023...I disagree!
If you do want to buy this watch:

You can delete rounds of golf by holding finger on round for about 3 seconda

Hey mate, recently discovered your channel and like your reviews 👍
Just a bit of advice, since my trusty old Bushnell phantom died a couple of years ago I’ve been using the golfshot app on my phone but I don’t like having my big phone in my pocket and have lost a bit of confidence in apps as they seem to be a bit hit and miss in terms of accuracy. Wondering what device you’d recommend for someone that doesn’t like wearing a watch if you’d be so kind please?
Im assuming the well known brands that make gps devices would have better more accurate course mapping than a lot of the apps.

Thanks Full English 👍 I have reviews of two alternatives on my channel.
I like the Garmin G30, which remains a popular non-watch GPS as it shows a hole layout on it's colour touchscreen - ruclips.net/video/GvOXWkdgQQA/видео.html
A smaller and cheaper alternative I've also used is the Shot Scope H4 - you could use this with or without the club tags and it's still considerable cheaper than the Garmin (the Garmin is easier to use with a bigger screen though) - ruclips.net/video/BYAY-mGEZsE/видео.html
Bushnell also have a Phantom 2, but I've not tried it.

@@GolfGuyReviews I ended up going to my local AG and the guy gave me a demo of the G30 and I snapped one up as they have an exclusive deal on them as well. Played a couple of rounds with it and really like it, thanks for the advice 👌

Definitely two deal breakers for me. First is the lack of a Bluetooth sync. One of my favorite features of my Garmin Approach S42 is the way it is able to quickly sync with my phone and the fairly robust Garmin Golf app. I rarely use a PC outside of my job so having to break one out just to sync my watch would be a little painstaking. The second deal breaker is that the green heat maps are locked behind a pay wall. I’m a big believer that once you buy a product you should be able to access all of the features. When one of your major selling points is that you offer a feature at a lower price point than anyone else then I expect to actually be able to access that feature without an added cost. I will definitely be sticking with my S42 for the foreseeable future. Appreciate the well thought out review!

Sorry Rob, I may not have been clear, there’s no additional subscription for the W12’s heat maps, I was highlighting that act’s £90 per year to unlock Garmin’s heat maps…
So just the one same deal breaker as me 😎

@@GolfGuyReviews my apologies. This is what happens when I try to watch and work at the same time. Not a strong multitasker!

USB cable is so 2010 🤣 MGS don’t get everything right despite what those two geezers may tell you. Can’t watch (excuse the pun) them anymore banging on about the evils of 2 layer golf balls 😮. Good review again Kev

Thanks Kenny - genuinely surprised by the glowing reviews I’ve seen - don’t get me wrong I like a lot of the features, but not keen on the price and limited connectivity

Great review as normal. I personally think there better on the market for that price.

I have a w11. A piece of junk. Total junk. I want my money back. I have reset it many times. Bluetooth does nothing. Nothing. No connection. The watch can't find my golf course. If it did work it couldn't go from green 9 to tee 10.
