I absolutely agree that it SHOULD win, but it won’t. The gatekeepers decided years ago that he was nothing but trouble and have completely underestimated him. It amazes me that there are so many artists who get into trouble and are forgiven, but they won’t forgive him. He has worked hard to lose that image but they just refuse to see it. He did win a bunch of art film awards.
Ronnie has played the piano for 20+ years. He has taught himself to play many instruments himself.. ❤️🔥
He really plays piano and he actually writes, composes & plays/records all the instruments in the albums since 16 years. Members of Falling in Reverse come and go (except for Derek Jones that stayed since the beginning) and are mostly there for the live shows. Ronnie is so talented and is constantly raising the level for this scene.

I remember hearing the song , before the video was released , and my instantly thought , was if it was associated to a movie soundtrack ! Im happy he got the recognition for this awesome video / story . It was recorded in Ronnie and Paiges house ( CGI included ) during the covid lockdown .

At first, I was thinking that the lady in white might be a ghost, the other one was her actual self from when she was alive, and that he was digging her grave so he can bit her and bring her back to life. I may be reaching but that's kinda what I understood.

Drug in me is you and drug in me is reimagined is a bigger jar I think. This one has alot more rock, punk sounds in the chorus and just darkness. Which relates to the original a bit more (tho I absolutely love the drug in me is reimagined).

I think Sean Rooney played the part on the piano in this and in Drug in me is you reimagined. However, Ronnie said on stream that he’s been playing piano for years.

I know that Ronnie is a great piano player. You can find a few clips of him playing on YT. He didn't play on the recording of The Drug In Me Is Reimagined, because the whole idea was born because some guy (can't remember his name) made a piano cover of the original song. So this guy played the piano in the studio version. I'd think this time it was Ronnie, but I'm not sure. Fact is, that Ronnie's could play the song on the piano.

No, it's actually not his house. It's an old goth style house that several bands have recorded/filmed at. The song you will see almost everything identical is Palaye Royales "Tonight is the night I die". In fact, Palaye kind of called out Ronnie for copying their video & storyline and they went back and forth a few times online about it. . Go give it a listen and watch. You'll be amazed.. It is a very similar concept, but I'm not accusing anyone of anything.

DUDE I just realized that's what was missing!! Lol I don't even pay attention to tattoos or piercings anymore. I mean I notice them but they are a part of the person who has them and I don't judge. I was thinking they did his makeup and maybe CGI to make him look flawless bc he was a vampire. But now that you pointed it out I'm like DUH his voice and the video had me so involved I am still seeing things I didn't notice the first time.

i'm not familiar with this musician. Just as an introduction song, the lyrics are kind of basic. I've heard high schoolers at slams write far more profound verses. I guess musically he's ok, kind of main stream. I mean, I would rather listen to Nightwish, AFI, or silversun pick ups, or panic at the disco. That all being said, if someone can civilly explain how this is considered a stellar song or musician or why he's so popular, by all means, I am open to a different perspective. I just, I don't see how expecting this becoming number one is justified.
Also, as someone who struggles with mental illness I feel this song trivializes what a break down or obsession feels like. Not to discredit his possible experience, but I don't feel like this is someone who is looking to end the stigma. I would rather not consider myself or others like me as monsters. If you are going to play that trope, maybe go about it in a different direction.

I don't know his full life story just bits and pieces that I've seen here and there. But his songs are mostly based on personal experiences like when he went to prison, and drug use. There are lots of deeper meanings to things that he writes about. I think the things that he comes up with are amazing. He doesn't stick to just one genre of music. He can rap, sing, and do so much with his voice. I listen to so many different types of music and everyone has their preferences. I think the more people relate to something the more they love it. It makes them feel not alone. Then you find others who also love the thing you love and it's a weird type of family of strangers all brought together by something. I know who Nightwish is, I don't think I've heard much of their new stuff Nemo was my first song I heard. I listen to Amaranthe and Within Temptation as well. I have my moods where I want to listen to heavy metal, or rap, or classic 80's music. I don't think you are wrong to ask what the hype is. If you don't get it or feel the same that's fine. I hate coffee but I'm not boycotting Starbucks. Lol
