Okocha is so funny cant help himself, he just gatta dribble a man or two, its like a drug ,they say that's why the likes of Madrid and Barcelona didn't sign him,he will ignore the coaches instructions and dribble even when he don't have to😂😂, I have never ever enjoyed watching any player as I did okocha, he played for the real football lovers, we were the most important for him even more important than winning, he knew what we love and he gave us exactly that ❤

@@kayvaldo thanks, finally I could put it in words,I love jay jay too much,as a child when you sneak out to watch area ball, you don't go to see who won,you re there to see who can dribble the most with a complete unbiased state of mind only here for the skills and entertainment not caring about who's winning nor losing😂,okocha is the only player to play football at the highest level and never broke area ball code, he kept it a hundred. With all due respect to all the best players out there, to me okocha is the goat, football in its purest form,he was a joy to watch.

    • @kayvaldo

@Tony Ejiro my sentiments exactly. Jay-Jay embodies that "old" philosophy we had as kids that "na who sabi dribble na him play pass" 😂
you should check out this article about him I shared recently: thesefootballtimes.co/2016/12/12/jay-jay-okocha-so-good-they-named-him-twice/
the writer captured it perfectly: "he simply had ‘it’ - ‘the stuff’, the swagger, the confidence to enjoy football on his terms"

(That was the real group of death😂)The Ghanian team would later reach the finals of the U21 WC in Australia. But I remember the commenataries for the African Junior cup were in French and the commentator was running at machine gun pace trying to catch up with Jay's Jay's dribbles. Those were the days🤣

It's Unfortunate that he moved to Turkey during that period cos he was trying to get an european or turkish citizenship. Dan Amokachi and Uche Okechukwu did same. They had to get muslim names. At that time, looking after yourself was priority than fame. Getting turkish citizenship guranteed he cld live abroad after his career or shd something go wrong. See some pple shouting no wonder no english team went for him. Firstly, italy was the power house in early to late 90s. Secondly, how many african did EPL buy in early 90s to mid?
