Played under Parcells, coached under Payton & Cambell, Aaron Glenn certainly has the right pedigree. What I hope he took away from his time with Parcells is that Parcells' team almost never were physically pushed around. And if they were, he made sure it never happened again! That is the mentality we need.
Love the positivity. Pessimism/cynicism pretty much go hand in hand with being a Jets fan. So no matter who the hires were, there would always be a sense of unease. All we can do now is hope for the best. The biggest conundrum the new regime faces is at QB. I'm fine bringing AR back as he's probably the best option considering the alternatives. But if they do manage to win some games next year they won't be in a position to draft a top QB prospect for the '26 season and will be reliant on whatever FA class is available. If they start Tyrod and throw in the towel on the '25 season they risk losing guys like Sauce and GW who might not have the patience to see if another rookie QB pans out. Not here to sour the mood, just thinking long term. I'm fine with the GM and HC hires and excited for what's to come. But as usual, this franchise plugs a couple holes and inevitably another major hole forms shortly after. It would be nice to have all the holes plugged simultaneously and sail clear into the playoffs consistently for a change. TL;DR, optimistic about the HC and GM hires,, but their success will be predicated on figuring out the QB situation long-term.

The thing that excites me most is the Saleh/Douglas regime is over, that is the biggest win for this team. As far as the new hires go I'm just taking a wait & see approach. It's kinda tough to have an opinion on an unknown commodity but my optimism will rise if they have a nice mix of experience & fresh blood in the CS/FO hires.

The Jets got a defensive coordinator as head coach again, probably to maintain some sort of continuity. I have no doubts the defense will buy in. However, you have to have an experienced OC, because flotsam like Hackett won't cut it. Also, just be able to say "no" to Rodgers if he wants something.

No… Should’ve signed Kliff Kingsbury. Brilliant offensively, has experience, and has had real success developing multiple QB’s. A lot easier to find a defensive coordinator than it is to find even a solid OC. Not at all excited about Glenn, but I like the GM. I think 3 of their pro bowlers this year (Denver) were drafted by them and he was in charge of scouting’

I am kind of wait and see. I am worried about the lack of experience with the hc and gm, among other things that leaves a huge path for woody and bricky to interfere. It also sounds like Glenn is relying on mentors for advice, like Westoff, ptob also peyton and parcells. Hopefully glenn won't hire a staff of young turks, but will have experienced ppl. Have haley in as an offensive consultant but hire a young oc. If he hires wilkes he will have someone with hc experience as well as dc. Hopefully will have experienced ppl wround mougey too. One of the things we pointed out with saleh was he hired a group of young buds of his, all green as hell,and he was almost arrogant in not having experienced ppl. I have hope Green is what he says he is, no nonsense and not a bullshit artist like saleh was. Hopefully he doesnt turn into a eunuch like saleh was, that we get more dan campbell then joe torre. Jets done fkd up like they always do hiring two inexperienced guys at HC and GM but what else is new. All you can do is hope they get lucky and hit a bullseye with these appointments eventually.

Aaron Glenn has been DC against Aaron Rodgers for 2 years and has first hand knowledge that he is washed up. Mougey has first hand knowledge of Zach Wilson, so this is the ideal combination of HC & GM to get Zach Wilson back in da house... Can't Wait !!!

I am kind of wait and see. I am worried about the lack of experience with the hc and gm, among other things that leaves a huge path for woody and bricky to interfere.
I have seen some good signs, it sounds like Glenn was involved with the mougey thing. This wasn't idiot chris listening to schmuck Manning.
It also sounds like Glenn is relying on mentors for advice, like Westoff, ptob also peyton and parcells. Hopefully glenn won't hire a staff of young turks, but will have experienced ppl. Have haley in as an offensive consultant but hire a young oc. If he hires wilkes he will have someone with hc experience as well as dc.
Hopefully will have experienced ppl wround mougey too.
One of the things we pointed out with saleh was he hired a group of young buds of his, all green as hell,and he was almost arrogant in not having experienced ppl.
I have hope Green is what he says he is, no nonsense and not a bullshit artist like saleh was. Hopefully he doesnt turn into a eunuch like saleh was, that we get more dan campbell then joe torre.
I am holding on to the optimism of a new hire or hires without putting too much hope on it until i see more of how it plays out. For all i know brick could choose the staff or will be made head of the draft,so not gonna get caught up in the hype. @ not trying to be negative but I feel like the Jets have done everything backwards this off season. We wanted an experienced GM and HC. We’ve gotten neither and they did the hiring backwards despite having a ton of time to do it. Saleh gone 4 games in. Joe D gone not long after. Why did all of this feel rushed?

I don’t think anything changes until Woody is gone and even then I’d have to see it to believe it. I wish things would change Tyson, but they’ve given me nothing but crap for decades and it’s tough to feel optimism at this point.
