It didn’t work. I have a salary account with hdfc and using regalia card. I sent my latest 3 month salary slips and filled the enhancement form. They rejected it twice saying that they need FD Lien declaration. HDFC sucks. With a monthly salary of 2 lakh, they aren’t increasing my credit limit above 3.5 lakh. I’m so fed up with this bank.
It doesn’t matter how much you make. Banks could care less about that. There are people who make 5 lakhs a month and get a credit limit of only 80k, and then there are those who make 9 lakh a year and get a credit limit of 10 lakhs. It’s about your credit utilisation ratio and timely payments. If you’re frequently maxing out your credit limit and defaulting on payments, then you’re a high flight risk, and no bank would approve a higher credit limit request.

@@pallabbiswas2726 maximum 5k at a merchant per day so it's not as dangerous as international.. Read a lot about sbi cards being misused in Brazil etc.. As you say if not used you can disable everything and at a time of useage just activate it

Idfc is stubborn and they are in mood that they offering ltf cards so they are doing Charity , you ask anything simple request to them they will reply in single line regret to inform you that as per bank policy we are not able to process your request. Such boring customer care of idfc.

@@roninr8199 5 contactless transactions of Rs 5000 each can be done per day. Rs 5000 can be peanuts for you but for me even Rs 100 is significant.
