Charms should get a border that fills up similar to "Freeze progress" so you can see how far along your charm is, and exactly when it's activated. I know you get the buff icon in the top left, but it gets lost easily (and the icon doesn't match your charm art). If we have the charm icons permanently shown on the UI, WHY THE HELL are they not showing us anything useful with it?
Same here. Except the juiced part. Spend 2 hours in trial, misclicked an affliction instead of honor restorating before the final boss. Haven't logged on since. That was 2 days ago. Lasted until 76. I just don't have the time to waste 2 hours to a misclick.
Lily finally getting the recognition she deserves because of PoE2 brings me a lot of joy. As a PoE1 vet i e been watching her for years. She is a god tier appg player. She's also hilarious
the part about monsters being mach 5 stuiped fast like poe 1, everything hasted, so true. some of the smaller rares hasted are hard to even land skills on while kiting them because they move so fast erratic, or ur minions cant hit them when they are chasing you even with high minion movespeed/attack speed.
Energy shield is a defense layer... so if you can hit something like 75% mitigation with either armor or eva (making your life 4x as valuable) then you should be able to get 3x your life as ES to even it out with the other (same ehp). So 10k ES doesnt seem farfetched at all
Correct me If I'm wrong but The problem is that ES also scales with armour and evasion as far as I remember, especially evasion since it rolls before you even get hit.
Two problems with your 75% theory. The first big problem is that the armor percentage you see on your character is a complete lie. Armor uses a complicated formula and gets worse as the hit gets larger. You'll never get 75% reduction on the hits that matter. The problem with evasion is that eventually you're going to get a string of attacks that you fail to evade and you just fall over. ES doesn't have either of those problems.
25:40 Its not just fast rares. If you have a build that, lets say, freezes an enemy and then self-casts a really slow comet, the rares could have all sorts of effects like lightning mirage, volatiles, purple balls, etc, which would force you to move before you even completed your cast. Setting up combos with skills like Comet or Sunder is terrible in high tier maps once the rares start spawning with a lot of mods.
Ondeath effects literally clash with the core principles of the game..."kill monster, get loot"...the dopamine process during the REWARD for doing EVERYTHING correctly being CRUSHED for NO REASON OF BENEFIT is a LAZY GAME DEVELOPER MECHANIC. Why not give the boss or mob a more fun ability to challenge me DURING THE FIGHT.....its weak design and weird to punish you for doing things wrong AND right....wtf (edit:tldr: there are ZERO benefits to having a monster kill you after youve won a fun fight...who gains ANYTHING from that interaction...)
There isn't a way, to my knowledge, to look at your charm and see if it has charges, but the old setting from POE1 to show your flask effects as a buff does work for your charm effects. When my Amethyst Charm activates I can see that it's active as a buff on the top left, just like you can in POE1 if you turn that setting on.
Speaking of getting res capped, graveyard tilesets are more likely to drop jewelry. You can farm them in act1 for res rings. Ziggy talked about this in an interview with Jonathan and Mark.
I am new to this ARPG genre unless you count D4, it feels really nice to hear that you professionals are having some of the same frustrations I am during gameplay. Great cast

Can't block or evade spells hits. Evasion gets a notable called Acrobatics that lets them also dodge spell hits for a downside. I don't think something similar exists for block. Block and evasion aren't really equal though. Anyone can get block on top of an armor, ES, or evasion build
having energy shield actually makes sense because you actually need to build into it while life is the baseline ... the problem is you can ignore the build into it part by just having grim feast
It does but he uses it to spawn minions from the wall itself which are the main damage sources instead. The more area the wall covers, the more minions that get spawned ( i think, idk though)
Firewall damage is irrelevant in a minion build because you don't scale your own damage. Firewall serves two purposes here. First is to trigger SRS. Second is to add damage to the projectiles that the Arsonists throw
I'm having a lot of fun without map bosses in each map, but I'd love to have a "boss tablet" - especially maybe if there was a way to convert between waystones and those tablets, so one could choose to do more maps or choose to do more bosses. Cause mapping can be super fun without bosses, and I think it's a nice change of pace to not have a big boss at the end of each and every map.
Buffing HP on bosses will kill that casual feeling that you can make your own build and just manage to go with it. Even now if you dont optimize some of the builds, they struggle A LOT with bosses
At the beginning they discuss what is the boss in Burial Bog. First they say "the children eater", then "the one that flies on a broom" and then "the one that gives you the last spirit in cruel". They are all the same boss 😂 and it is not the Burial Bog boss.
What if they just made all the ES nodes also life nodes, but it lets you pick like you can with attributes? Like you click it and it lets you pick like % inc life, % inc energy shield, or like % inc evasio nor something? And for life regen it lets you pick like %inc life regen or % inc es recharge rate , etc? Maybe that idea is cooked but could potentially work?
I feel like defense representation (energy shield, armor, evasion) is pretty even across the tree, but I do feel like armor is a bit weak at the moment compared to the other two. ES could be a little strong at the moment of course, but stuff like recharge rate and recharge delay and stun threshold (around half ES Nodes iirc) are closer to something like life regen and just having life if we make the ES=Life comparison.
4:24 that's the noob crowd man, they're just here for instant gratification. They'll quit the game when they have ignored everyone or have been ignored and can't trade with anyone. That or they'll hit a wall in Maps and walk away.
I'm really disappointed with how this game can't keep a framerate in maps :/ even on this footage you can see it, and not too many people seem to talk about it
41:25 I think the issue is that too much of the mechanic progression is locked behind super late game content. Breach is already decent at baseline and totally insane for loot once you juice it with 8 points. But you realistically get 0 points before t14+ map level difficulty. The progression in the game is just too backloaded atm, so it makes the early endgame feel like it has no loot and late game you get too much. With better tuning, and hopefully them bringing some of the progression system points back to maps rather than being all locked behind pinnacle bosses, things should feel a lot smoother (and they could probably even nerf some drops at that point).
The worst part of it all is that I can't go back to PoE1 now because I'm in love with WASD, it's so nice for my right arm and should that I have issues with for over a year now. So now I'm in the spot where I don't want to play PoE2 again for a while but I can't go back to PoE1 either. I hope one day they make time to implement WASD in PoE1 but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.
make boss maps ONLY the boss room and make them tanky AF (like 10 minute fight for a normal/non jung build) But they drop similar loot to an entire map
Right now, not counting specific uniques (as those can completely shift the discourse) assuming one takes no damage nodes that arent just pathing, with full 124 you can hit 740~800% (when fixed) energy shield. That tree will have 0 damage outside of jewels, but is one of 3 defensive trees you can make (worst one at that as both block and minion bodyblock swarm work better, but that just points out how minions dont have a bad armor calc but plain total halved phys damage taken as total pickup options, but still). Due to lack of secondary defenses vs hit, assuming you have rez covered, on average rares hits around 9k ES while on fully juiced triple godroll each corrupted well and Iron runed pure ES gear, up to 16.3k (which is its ehp vs against direct hits, double vs capped chaos or triple vs elemental), however there is a caveat* In turn EHP from armor and life on non-titans non-gemlings in turn reaches around 14k EHP with average rares or 33.1k with equivalent godly hp max defense assuming a hypothetical attacking boss and/or mods capable of rolling on it due to endgame options isnt badly designed thus able to make a auto attack that deals more than the possible HP of any character (technically more if playing into rage, but w/e). The issue is: 1) Grim Feast has no real barrier to entry for doubling your ES outside of non-crit builds vs bosses, the HP equivalent is either being crippled (blood witch) or a specific unique armor with otherwise not very good stats only avaliable from 50 up that means you have to keep leeching. 2) Armor still has the 39iqtardation of being worse vs big hits while not working as true DR, yet GGG refusing to give it partial%-partial flat scaling (so e.g. every 1k armor is 10% minimum total DR from phys hits, no matter how hard the hit is, but it first sees which reduces more, the % or flat reduction instead of the current pentalog exponential decrease in value of the armor with higher single hits) 3) Block is godly defense against things it works, the things it doesnt work against are bugged (e.g. statue in Act 2 that keeps ripping peoples HC characters with a auto attack while its ultimate move maybe carves away 40% of max hp with armor and fire rez) or are such big hits that if it fails and/or doesnt count as being blockable armor is worthless against due to how it scales. Its the perfect storm entirely caused by enemy damage numbers being far overtuned, devs relying too much on presence of shields (more so than dodge roll as the only builds without armor that use default dodge, even with the existence of blink, is the minimal hp infernalist demon and temporalist at which point you are just playing flicker monk+ but with less damage) for what items one can reliably assume to have till 3 characters in and Grim Feast being both a very early AND very efficient option rewarding you for the base action of ANY kill to provide more EHP compared to banners.
I'm already trying to get good defences on my gear since getting to end game in SSF and now rarity is a thing?. Rarity should be something that rolls on way stones IMO and not on gear
Grinding t15 maps for 30 hours now. I only got 2 div and garbage. Banked 60 quarterstaffs to craft.. everything was garbage. In 200 h playtime I got ONE good yellow drop. The only reason why I can grind t15 maps is because ice strike monk is so strong with 1ex gear that has some life and resis. I wasted over 200 ex for slamming and got ZERO out of it. Loot and crafting absolutely sucks in this game. Period.
Yeah the strat seems to be to loot absolutly nothing that is not an expert tier rare and just stack currencies to buy on the trade instead of trying to "craft". It really does feel bad to use currency when you know you could just buy it for cheaper

DOORS that need to be opened? there was a league everybody hated, door opening the league, who thought it was a good idea to create massive indoor areas with closed doors? also why is basically every map layout garbage? in poe1 most maps are ok some are great others are shit, in poe2 most maps are utter garbage, some are ass cancer and a few i can nearly enjoy.... map sustain? everay single league with shit map sustain was hated on so long till it got changed. also currency, u want us to craft? with fucking what? pick up every white item to turn it magic? thats not crafting thats worse than effin chaos recepie... im in t15 maps and i cant even alch my maps cause im not getting any alchs... party play is complete garbage. if u split up in a map and one dies theres no fucking way the other one enjoys walking 200 miles through the whole map to get the homie up. also in boss fights, its IMPOSSIBLE to raise... monstrs switch aggor after every single hit, so if a mob is hard just attack from 2 sides and bug him the fuck out... game is good or could be good but where the fuck are my items? or at least my crafting currency? and why is every single unique shit? hey bro can u design 200 more completely shit usless uniques? yeah give me an hour....
I played ED contagion at first and that felt extremely well tuned for the bosses. My end of act 1 fight was 5 minutes (and I did it on first try too!)... Not being a typical ARPG player, I thought ED + contagion was the norm and found it very well tuned... But seeing how most bosses die within 20s with a good build makes it feel pointless to even have bossfights in the first place, since it's a glorified normal fight so short that learning the mechanics doesn't seem to matter at all, feels like the design effort on the bossfights is wasted atm 🤔 2 minutes is a bare minimum for a good, engaging bossfight I would say (again, coming from a non-ARPG player) and 3-4 minutes is a good middle ground... I had such a blast in that 5 minutes fight in end of act 1 and it didn't even feel long to Me with how much action/spectacle was going on 🤔 8 minutes starts to be the upper end of what I would find enjoyable to engage with I think 🤔
I love how taking a bath in beans is just treated as more or less normal. Pure degenerate behavior. Not specifically my thing but mine is niche enough that I can relate and support.
The only thing burning me out is the fact that I keep getting one shot by delayed detonate dead. Never dying to detonate dead that explodes right away but my past 4 deaths were literally all to delayed detonate dead and instances where the DD is set to be delayed till after the cosmetic blood orb explosion. It is so unfun though. I havent died to anything not detonate dead in like 4 or 5 days.
Why would you be resistance capped by act 3? Think about it in poe1 were you capped in act 3 that and there's 3 more acts coming at launch so I'm sure getting res cap will be to e
@Bobington11 is there any info out there on if the multiplier goes directly onto the armor itself? Or is it just increasing the stats you get _from_ the armor? That node might go crazy as an anoint on a blood witch taking the body armor ES to Life ascendancy node if it's the former
@@MirroredDreamscapeI think passive skills get applied after conversion unless it's a "% as extra" mechanic, but I'm not 100% sure. It would be cheap to test it if you have the blood mage already
Mana siphons rares bricked 90% of my Ultimatum runs. I got them every run on 3 conseq runs and I call it. The frustration I got when I saw them pop, was to much. 4k mana gone in like 1 sec and not being able to shake them to regen was to much. There was nothing I could do to kill it.
people complain about res cap but you don't need res cap to finish campaign, you don't need to have every problem figured. As trash as the gear and resistance were, I finished the campaign and went into mapping fine especially after the nerfs. If you get res cap act 1 I think the campaign would almost be a joke.
I really feel like the addition of an auction house would be a good addition to PoE2. Constantly contacting people only to be ignored can be so annoying at times not to mention we cant even count it as a game system since it requires us to go outside of the game to interact with it which is frankly bad game design.
But the real reason they aren't doing that is because: 1. They want friction. They want you to have to do stuff, even if it's mindlessly clicking buttons. 2. They want you to have to visit other players' hideouts to check out the MTX and possibly want to buy some yourself. 3. The current system, while annoying, works. Changing core systems, especially when it comes to the economy, is something that GGG fears. While I don't agree with it, it's important to understand their vision.
@@sujimayne Then their vision in this aspect of the game is shit. A game system that requires you to be outside of the game and annoys more people than not is just not good game design. And this is a game. Good game design should be a priority. I can understand them wanting to earn money from mtx and even approve of it as they need to earn money somehow but this is a system that will in no way shape or form increase the likelihood of more players staying and will instead do the opposite. I have no positive experiences when interacting with PoE trade whatsoever and only negatives. What about making it so the auction house would be the one system that you cant place in your hideout so you gotta go to a central hub with everyone else and there you can at least see their equipment mtx?
This is the only advantage that console POE1 had over PC... The trading market ingame. You could put an offer and leave the currency in, and they would/could accept it an hour later, or whatever. It meant that people didnt have to reply to a whisper mid mapping (or ignore it, which is what happens constantly) just for a trade to happen. It was annoying leaving your currency inside a pending trade, but it meant sellers could just deal with their accrued trade offers all at once, between maps or during downtime. If PC had a way to leave an offer 'on the table' so to speak, it might increase successful trades. An old whisper that you have to scroll up 30min of chat or offers to find in chatbox again, doesn't cut it the same way.
the towers spawn way too much ngl ... wish they spawned less but the tablets were alot stronger to compensate ... and still have them overlap but make those overlaps actually rare
Having not yet watched the video just responding to the clickbait title, I hope the game is not made the type where you can play when you're tired without consequence. I don't want that and if they balance the game to make that happen it will ruin the experience for those of us who want to be actively engaged.

Good luck to everyone in the game. I just hit level 52 after 80 hours. (I did a lot of experimentation and oi get lost a lot). I spent 5 ex to trade for thr skill gems. Got 3 slam totems. Put stampede and sunder in them. And my ice strike still hits harder than ALL THREE TOTEMS. i was SO EXCITED to finally get totems. And they suck so hard. I stayed up past my bes time for a week. Just grinded for 3 days. Hands literally hurt from fighting doryani, with all the dodging. I am giving up. I quit. Game is just not fun.

They could just make it glow too when powered and greyed out when unpowered.

There isn't a way, to my knowledge, to look at your charm and see if it has charges, but the old setting from POE1 to show your flask effects as a buff does work for your charm effects. When my Amethyst Charm activates I can see that it's active as a buff on the top left, just like you can in POE1 if you turn that setting on.

Speaking of getting res capped, graveyard tilesets are more likely to drop jewelry. You can farm them in act1 for res rings. Ziggy talked about this in an interview with Jonathan and Mark.

Is res the only option to defend against spells as a sheild user? Feel like some anti magic shield skills or support gems r much needed.
Like a reflect spell magma wall type block skill or sheild bash would b really cool maybe templer or druid will get.
Can't block or evade spells hits. Evasion gets a notable called Acrobatics that lets them also dodge spell hits for a downside. I don't think something similar exists for block. Block and evasion aren't really equal though. Anyone can get block on top of an armor, ES, or evasion build
having energy shield actually makes sense because you actually need to build into it while life is the baseline ... the problem is you can ignore the build into it part by just having grim feast
So merc with armour es is doable lul

Question: Doesn't the Fortress support gem in Firewall lessen the damage/ignite from Firewall? The tooltip info says it does.
It does but he uses it to spawn minions from the wall itself which are the main damage sources instead. The more area the wall covers, the more minions that get spawned ( i think, idk though)
Firewall damage is irrelevant in a minion build because you don't scale your own damage. Firewall serves two purposes here. First is to trigger SRS. Second is to add damage to the projectiles that the Arsonists throw
regarding backtracking to get to missed rares. They should spawn the checkpoint beacons in maps that you can teleport between.

I'm having a lot of fun without map bosses in each map, but I'd love to have a "boss tablet" - especially maybe if there was a way to convert between waystones and those tablets, so one could choose to do more maps or choose to do more bosses.
Cause mapping can be super fun without bosses, and I think it's a nice change of pace to not have a big boss at the end of each and every map.
Buffing HP on bosses will kill that casual feeling that you can make your own build and just manage to go with it. Even now if you dont optimize some of the builds, they struggle A LOT with bosses

What if they just made all the ES nodes also life nodes, but it lets you pick like you can with attributes? Like you click it and it lets you pick like % inc life, % inc energy shield, or like % inc evasio nor something? And for life regen it lets you pick like %inc life regen or % inc es recharge rate , etc? Maybe that idea is cooked but could potentially work?

I feel like defense representation (energy shield, armor, evasion) is pretty even across the tree, but I do feel like armor is a bit weak at the moment compared to the other two.
ES could be a little strong at the moment of course, but stuff like recharge rate and recharge delay and stun threshold (around half ES Nodes iirc) are closer to something like life regen and just having life if we make the ES=Life comparison.
4:24 that's the noob crowd man, they're just here for instant gratification. They'll quit the game when they have ignored everyone or have been ignored and can't trade with anyone. That or they'll hit a wall in Maps and walk away.

Im so addicted to maps.
41:25 I think the issue is that too much of the mechanic progression is locked behind super late game content. Breach is already decent at baseline and totally insane for loot once you juice it with 8 points. But you realistically get 0 points before t14+ map level difficulty. The progression in the game is just too backloaded atm, so it makes the early endgame feel like it has no loot and late game you get too much. With better tuning, and hopefully them bringing some of the progression system points back to maps rather than being all locked behind pinnacle bosses, things should feel a lot smoother (and they could probably even nerf some drops at that point).
The worst part of it all is that I can't go back to PoE1 now because I'm in love with WASD, it's so nice for my right arm and should that I have issues with for over a year now. So now I'm in the spot where I don't want to play PoE2 again for a while but I can't go back to PoE1 either. I hope one day they make time to implement WASD in PoE1 but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.
make boss maps ONLY the boss room and make them tanky AF (like 10 minute fight for a normal/non jung build) But they drop similar loot to an entire map

Right now, not counting specific uniques (as those can completely shift the discourse) assuming one takes no damage nodes that arent just pathing, with full 124 you can hit 740~800% (when fixed) energy shield. That tree will have 0 damage outside of jewels, but is one of 3 defensive trees you can make (worst one at that as both block and minion bodyblock swarm work better, but that just points out how minions dont have a bad armor calc but plain total halved phys damage taken as total pickup options, but still).
Due to lack of secondary defenses vs hit, assuming you have rez covered, on average rares hits around 9k ES while on fully juiced triple godroll each corrupted well and Iron runed pure ES gear, up to 16.3k (which is its ehp vs against direct hits, double vs capped chaos or triple vs elemental), however there is a caveat*
In turn EHP from armor and life on non-titans non-gemlings in turn reaches around 14k EHP with average rares or 33.1k with equivalent godly hp max defense assuming a hypothetical attacking boss and/or mods capable of rolling on it due to endgame options isnt badly designed thus able to make a auto attack that deals more than the possible HP of any character (technically more if playing into rage, but w/e).
The issue is:
1) Grim Feast has no real barrier to entry for doubling your ES outside of non-crit builds vs bosses, the HP equivalent is either being crippled (blood witch) or a specific unique armor with otherwise not very good stats only avaliable from 50 up that means you have to keep leeching.
2) Armor still has the 39iqtardation of being worse vs big hits while not working as true DR, yet GGG refusing to give it partial%-partial flat scaling (so e.g. every 1k armor is 10% minimum total DR from phys hits, no matter how hard the hit is, but it first sees which reduces more, the % or flat reduction instead of the current pentalog exponential decrease in value of the armor with higher single hits)
3) Block is godly defense against things it works, the things it doesnt work against are bugged (e.g. statue in Act 2 that keeps ripping peoples HC characters with a auto attack while its ultimate move maybe carves away 40% of max hp with armor and fire rez) or are such big hits that if it fails and/or doesnt count as being blockable armor is worthless against due to how it scales.
Its the perfect storm entirely caused by enemy damage numbers being far overtuned, devs relying too much on presence of shields (more so than dodge roll as the only builds without armor that use default dodge, even with the existence of blink, is the minimal hp infernalist demon and temporalist at which point you are just playing flicker monk+ but with less damage) for what items one can reliably assume to have till 3 characters in and Grim Feast being both a very early AND very efficient option rewarding you for the base action of ANY kill to provide more EHP compared to banners.
I'm already trying to get good defences on my gear since getting to end game in SSF and now rarity is a thing?. Rarity should be something that rolls on way stones IMO and not on gear
I think for life, they should just make % life a prefix, so you can actually build heavily into life with your gear.
Grinding t15 maps for 30 hours now. I only got 2 div and garbage. Banked 60 quarterstaffs to craft.. everything was garbage. In 200 h playtime I got ONE good yellow drop. The only reason why I can grind t15 maps is because ice strike monk is so strong with 1ex gear that has some life and resis.
I wasted over 200 ex for slamming and got ZERO out of it.
Loot and crafting absolutely sucks in this game. Period.
Yeah the strat seems to be to loot absolutly nothing that is not an expert tier rare and just stack currencies to buy on the trade instead of trying to "craft".
It really does feel bad to use currency when you know you could just buy it for cheaper
I like no life on tree in that those mandatory nodes are no longer xp sinks, I hate that it feels like hp on gear is almost mandatory instead

on death effects that are basically invisible hidden under ur spells but oneshot you? fantastic. everybody and his mom hates those with a passion. there is ZERO fun in exploding like that especially if u lose ur loot and map and xp.
DOORS that need to be opened? there was a league everybody hated, door opening the league, who thought it was a good idea to create massive indoor areas with closed doors?
also why is basically every map layout garbage? in poe1 most maps are ok some are great others are shit, in poe2 most maps are utter garbage, some are ass cancer and a few i can nearly enjoy....

oh wow...didnt know that the 2nd charmslot was so rare, I got mine in act 3 (first run) just yesterday.
If you work a 9-5 and have kids this game is probably not your cup of tea unless you live in stress.
I played ED contagion at first and that felt extremely well tuned for the bosses. My end of act 1 fight was 5 minutes (and I did it on first try too!)... Not being a typical ARPG player, I thought ED + contagion was the norm and found it very well tuned... But seeing how most bosses die within 20s with a good build makes it feel pointless to even have bossfights in the first place, since it's a glorified normal fight so short that learning the mechanics doesn't seem to matter at all, feels like the design effort on the bossfights is wasted atm 🤔
2 minutes is a bare minimum for a good, engaging bossfight I would say (again, coming from a non-ARPG player) and 3-4 minutes is a good middle ground... I had such a blast in that 5 minutes fight in end of act 1 and it didn't even feel long to Me with how much action/spectacle was going on 🤔
8 minutes starts to be the upper end of what I would find enjoyable to engage with I think 🤔
I love how taking a bath in beans is just treated as more or less normal. Pure degenerate behavior. Not specifically my thing but mine is niche enough that I can relate and support.
The only thing burning me out is the fact that I keep getting one shot by delayed detonate dead. Never dying to detonate dead that explodes right away but my past 4 deaths were literally all to delayed detonate dead and instances where the DD is set to be delayed till after the cosmetic blood orb explosion. It is so unfun though. I havent died to anything not detonate dead in like 4 or 5 days.
Why would you be resistance capped by act 3? Think about it in poe1 were you capped in act 3 that and there's 3 more acts coming at launch so I'm sure getting res cap will be to e

@Bobington11 is there any info out there on if the multiplier goes directly onto the armor itself? Or is it just increasing the stats you get _from_ the armor? That node might go crazy as an anoint on a blood witch taking the body armor ES to Life ascendancy node if it's the former

Mana siphons rares bricked 90% of my Ultimatum runs. I got them every run on 3 conseq runs and I call it. The frustration I got when I saw them pop, was to much. 4k mana gone in like 1 sec and not being able to shake them to regen was to much. There was nothing I could do to kill it.
Same, i got ignored 3 times for whispering people to buy their items, two of them ignored me DIRECTLY after a direct msg through the website.

people complain about res cap but you don't need res cap to finish campaign, you don't need to have every problem figured. As trash as the gear and resistance were, I finished the campaign and went into mapping fine especially after the nerfs. If you get res cap act 1 I think the campaign would almost be a joke.
They both usually play hardcore and you definitely want to be res capped for that

I really feel like the addition of an auction house would be a good addition to PoE2. Constantly contacting people only to be ignored can be so annoying at times not to mention we cant even count it as a game system since it requires us to go outside of the game to interact with it which is frankly bad game design.
But the real reason they aren't doing that is because:
1. They want friction. They want you to have to do stuff, even if it's mindlessly clicking buttons.
2. They want you to have to visit other players' hideouts to check out the MTX and possibly want to buy some yourself.
3. The current system, while annoying, works. Changing core systems, especially when it comes to the economy, is something that GGG fears.
While I don't agree with it, it's important to understand their vision.
@@sujimayne Then their vision in this aspect of the game is shit. A game system that requires you to be outside of the game and annoys more people than not is just not good game design. And this is a game. Good game design should be a priority.
I can understand them wanting to earn money from mtx and even approve of it as they need to earn money somehow but this is a system that will in no way shape or form increase the likelihood of more players staying and will instead do the opposite. I have no positive experiences when interacting with PoE trade whatsoever and only negatives.
What about making it so the auction house would be the one system that you cant place in your hideout so you gotta go to a central hub with everyone else and there you can at least see their equipment mtx?

This is the only advantage that console POE1 had over PC... The trading market ingame.
You could put an offer and leave the currency in, and they would/could accept it an hour later, or whatever. It meant that people didnt have to reply to a whisper mid mapping (or ignore it, which is what happens constantly) just for a trade to happen. It was annoying leaving your currency inside a pending trade, but it meant sellers could just deal with their accrued trade offers all at once, between maps or during downtime.
If PC had a way to leave an offer 'on the table' so to speak, it might increase successful trades. An old whisper that you have to scroll up 30min of chat or offers to find in chatbox again, doesn't cut it the same way.

Good luck to everyone in the game. I just hit level 52 after 80 hours. (I did a lot of experimentation and oi get lost a lot). I spent 5 ex to trade for thr skill gems. Got 3 slam totems. Put stampede and sunder in them. And my ice strike still hits harder than ALL THREE TOTEMS. i was SO EXCITED to finally get totems. And they suck so hard. I stayed up past my bes time for a week. Just grinded for 3 days. Hands literally hurt from fighting doryani, with all the dodging. I am giving up. I quit. Game is just not fun.
Buffing boss hp does nothing but make them meat sponges. That is a terrible solution.
