Rachel, You lost the upgrade argument. lol. :) We're debt free and on baby step 3b and my girl would be happy with a Wal-Mart ring. She would rather see us WIN in Retirement than wear an expensive upgraded ring. I do totally know what you're saying but I'm lucky my girl is happy with an inexpensive ring. YAY ME.
Word. My wife's engagement ring was $600 and she LOVES IT to this day.
I wondered what baby step 3B was! Congrats!
To this day I never fully understood why people would shell out thousands on a tiny piece of jewelry that could quite easily be lost or stolen.
I agree so much. And if someone really wants a huge 2.5+ carat stone, why not purchase an alternative that looks/is practically identical, like moissanite, but saves you like 10,000 dollars? Makes no sense to me.
BadgerLova first marriage should be the Big ring and if the first one don't work out then go with the cheap ring for the rest of your other wives that you run into
I thought the person that you're marrying would be more important than the ring.... silly me
For a ring and a down payment on a house.
"Oh my good who would spend any more than 100 on a ring???" (makes comment on $700.00 -1000.00 new iPhone that is the same EXACT phone that you purchased last year but with a slightly better camera) smh.
when I found out diamonds were not worth the amount of money you buy them for, I made up my mind moissanite is the way to go.
My spouse and I still have the same wedding bands we bought 30 yrs ago. They were less than $100.00 for both of the rings, from the Service Merchandise jewelry counter.
stop falling for the trash info that you need to spend tons on rings. A wise woman would rather a more rent-free lifestyle instead of a pricey piece of metal which doesn't have much value.
Pay Cash 💰
Rachel Cruze is funny. She has so much energy. Super extravert. 5:32 "ah ah girlfriend, get off your high horse" SO LOL

Hello Dave, First, I want to let you know that I am not speak English well, but I am working on my English by myself, My name is Myriam Martinez, I am from Colombia-Bogota, I have been living in this Country for about 10 years, I have been listening to you for around 5 month. But I cannot understand everything of what all of you are talking about, But, trust me, I want to start to have control on my financial, especially on my retirement.
So I wonder if you can help me how do I can start to do it, I am really appreciate this.
Even if I cannot speak and understand everything in English, I prefer all the information in this language, is a big challenger for my, and I want it.
I am really appreciate this.
why should the ring be expensive, look at it this way, things go south she has a 2, 5, 10, 20 K or more to cash in. how about that. a emergency fund
