This feels a LOT like the Purple Rain era of Prince. 1) it’s THAT good. 2) everyone in these crowds is literally on egg shells waiting for what’s going to happen. Silent crowds are *feeling* it and are fully engaged. I literally haven’t heard of this kind of artistry since 1984. He’s on a different level.

this version is hauntingly beautiful. there’s a level of magic unlocked when you hear the live rendition of any of the songs from this album… mind blowing. (this video is also shot and edited so beautifully, perfectly encapsulated the feeling of the music).
This show was Amazing! Took my wife to see him for the first time. He had two lights behind the stage pointing directly to mk.gee and his other guitarist/bassist . He had a dj live mixing the beats. The sound was so dynamic it was hitting your entire body but the frequencies were perfect. The show was indeed Magic’s and we hope to see him again in his world tour!
This makes you feel as if you are becoming one with a waterfall, flowing into a river surrounded by lush green grass and lively wildlife, dancing around you in a warm welcome to their world.
Gotta find my way to one of these shows. Mk.gee’s music got me through the past four years and I’d love to find myself in the sea of people sharing a unified full circle moment.
I love the record, but I view it somewhat as a blueprint, or just one version of the songs that exists in its own way. The live performances on the other hand...godly. You can definitely tell he is way more confident with his vocals and he has refined each song so well live, that I actually prefer them to the studio versions. As I mentioned, the studio versions are great, but wow...these performances are transcendent. Mike is an exceptional performer.
The light show for this was so intentionally made and incredible. Just making a disco ball so barren and so high contrast to the darkness. So beautiful
