  • Recorded with 1.4.1; rendered with 1.4.2’s new weapon and landscape plugins. (1.4.2 and 1.4.1 are otherwise identical.) I also rendered this video with a monster health display script (coded by aperturegrillz, with bug fixes by me). As in previous videos, the script wasn’t active when Reaper played the level, but we both agreed that it provides enough useful information to viewers to be worth using when I encoded the replay.
    Speaking of which, I recently made new, higher-res monster health numbers for Apotheosis X and Tempus Irae Redux and was absolutely flabbergasted with how much of an aesthetic difference that made, so I also redid Phoenix’s. Since I’d already edited their appearance, I chose to redo their coloring to make it match Eternal’s, Tempus Irae Redux’s, and the Apotheosis X script’s, thus:
    Orange = hostile monster
    Green = berserk monster
    Cyan = friendly monster
    Magenta = damage number
    Phoenix videos before “Shades of Gray” used red for both berserk monsters and damage numbers and green for non-berserk monsters of all alignments. I apologize if the change is jarring, but I figured it would be better to keep my videos of all scenarios consistent with each other going forward.
