Almost 12 months after treatment and while I had both of the main side effects, they were well managed in hospital and fully recovered. I did lose my hair(again) due to the “mild” chemotherapy prior to therapy. Also I am still on blood products infused monthly. FATIGUE has been hard to cope with but after 7 months I noticed a large reduction and am finally feeling a lot more normal. I recommend getting help in managing fatigue. Thank you to all the clinicians and great minds that helped me survive my cancer. Car T saved me when there was nothing left.
Good luck! There are more resources about CAR-T on our website including side effects that you and he can look at (Courses 28 & 29) healthtree.org/myeloma/university/courses

I just had this gene therapy and so far, so good. I can breathe, and CRS was mild. 👍
How are you now? Do you need igiv monthly?
2:57 for counteracting symptoms and other steroid
Do you recommend pt need to be in a Cardiac monitoring during the administration of CAR T ?
Good luck to you all. I'm highly allergic to Dex it gave me steroid psychotics. Has anyone gone thru the Car-T process with my allergies.
All sounds very scary.
My Husband is having the treatment now.
