I was about 14 when I saw the movie, and it was the first movie that ever “broke my heart.” I actually remember being surprised when I realized I was crying. And Robert Redford was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen in my life!
The film is timeless. Although it was shown some decades ago, it is still beautiful to watch even up to to this day.. I kept on watching it on you tube over and over again I admire Robert Redford so much and Barbara is also beautiful in this movie.
Saw it again recently, and it held up very well, aged well. What I noticed this time is how good Redford was. He played a very unsympathetic character, which is much harder to do. That scene where he "sells out" is chilling. And the way he explodes when Katie says, "Hubble, people ARE their principles" is classic. Anyone who co-stars with Streisand is up against it, but he more than held his own. I don't blame her for wanting to draw out those love scenes!
Everyone couldn't wait for the Way We Were to premier and many went back 2 & 3 times to see it. Truly awesome movie. Yep everyone loved Robert Redford & Barbra Streisand in the movie. Truly a great movie with some powerful topics and protesting segments that are still going on today. My wife and I were 18 & 19 and had a daughter. Funny thing she is Jewish and I am Catholic so there were lots of discussions LOL.. I think if they were to air it in the movie theaters people would go to see it. I could be wrong. Sydney Pollock did a great job.
Such a great movie ❣️ Robert Redford was so handsome back in the day. And don't get me started on Barbara Streisand's beautiful voice. Both so talented In their own right to this day. Enjoyed this upload 😊❤️ Butch and Sundance....two of my very favorite actors of all time. 🥰
Absolutely, we feel the same way! Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
They played their roles to perfection it seemed they were playing themselves. I love how Barbara never changed her nose and emphasized the beautiful features, eyes, skin, nails. Robert Redford seemed like he lived a life similar to Hubble’s. An easy charm, quite masculinity had boundaries and was able to handle strong women til it was more work than enjoyment.
This is one of my favorite movies he was so handsome & talented! It is sad at the end but was also very good in it!!a lot of movies have some problems in production!
I read somewhere in the past of an interview of Robert Redford about his being married when this movie was filmed. What he said was his wife accused him of being involved with Barbra Streisand because he was being late getting home. He told the interviewer that was close to the truth. So, now reading about his alleged feelings toward Barbra I'm puzzled.
This is an unsubstantiated gossipy video and doesnt have much merit. (It's been stated over and over, for example, that the main reason Redford didn't want to do the film was that Hubbel was originally written as eye candy, so they rewrote it to make his character more complex and troubled. THEN he signed on. And it's better film because of that change.....)
That’s sexual-harassment liable for a damn lawsuit if it happened today. In today’s world if a man had done that to her, she’ll be suing them, how desperate. Looks and fame does nothing for the famous. those Hollywood stars are so damn entitled. the more they have the more they want, the more greedier they get. the more entitled they feel.
🤑 The movie business has also been about greed and making lots of money 💵. Add in big egos ,and entitlement. In other words numan nature at its very worst !.
her one-sided crush. But he had no particular fondness for her, who was by no means a beauty. That's why she wanted physical contact with him using the love scene.
This story is the biggest bunch of lies I’ve ever seen. There were problems regarding cut scenes, and some rewrites but this nonsense about the love scene is completely bogus. It makes good print and a ridiculous video, but it’s simply not true. I have never ever read this and having just finished her memoir she never mentions it and he has never talked about it. They are both professional and she would never stoop so low and he never would have permitted it.
I read the full story written by Facts Verse. Few questions that came to my mind was how true is that?? How did FV know what was going on in Barbara's mind?? Has she ever published those in any reliable media?? I have not seen any, have you guys?? How can FV confirm that BS had a crush on RR? Do I have to chuck these as worthless gossips by fame-seeking you tubers?? Well...your guess is as good as mine!! 🤣🤣
You will notice in the beginning of this Barbra holds a metal pot that had just come off the hot stove. She holds it on the bottom. Ruined the moment for me.
this is b.s. gimme a break! Streisand didn't get where she's been without being a consummate professional. She's a perfectionist and if this stupid story is true, then it was most likely that she wanted it to be perfect.

Cmon,Who wouldn’t want to do the scene over and over again. This is Robert Redford we’re talking about 😍
All I can say is I hope Jane Fonda doesn't find out

My mother said that when she saw the way we were in the theaters, everyone was practically crying at the end of the movie. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Same with me! I was 14 too. And I've been in love with him ever since. He was drop dead gorgeous!
Very interesting, thank you so much for sharing your life story. Be safe and have a great day ahead ❤

I saw this movie at age 19 with my first love and the song and movie bring back the memories of first love.

He was a happily married man and was not interested in her advances.
Not only that, he wasn't interested in doing the movie in the first place.
Also Kathy, it's known that he doesn't like doing love scenes.
@@kennethrussell1158 Kinda like Denzell Washington.
I love this movie. My heart breaks every time I view it.

Can’t say that I blame her!❤
If there was a remake of the movie, Brad Pitt would be perfect for the Robert Redford role. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@@harperstacey9604 YES he would!
@@lisa-gayle9939 who would be perfect for the Barbra Streisand role? I can't think of anyone suitable for the role. From Ms. Harper Stacey.

Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing your life story! We would love to see a picture of your wife 😉
So what everyone had a crush on Robert. But Barbara had her real crush on Marlon brando.
Why are you showing a shot from 'What's up Doc' with Ryan O'Neal in this video?
He was so worried about her ego and it sounds like he has a pretty big ego himself so maybe it really does take one to know one. 😂

I saw this again, recently. The film does not age well, I thought.

Spell her name correctly
They were lovers.
I read that she wanted to do him so bad, but he's happily married, and kept refusing her advances......ho.

Ancient history..
Her real life politics are warped & woke.
Lola was alot better looking than Barbara.
