So this video is a sum up of my summer with the Smart Hayabusa project. I was hopping to get at the track and have some fun with the car, but I had to change my plans. Oh well, that's not really what happened, but I still had my fun!

I've had my Smart car since early 2008. It hasn't been driven in months. But, I like what you did. Maybe time to do my own. Sadly, all I've done is a jet powered scooter. 😜

Yes, driving this thing fast his really a chanlenge...the wheel base his really crap!...but I still manage to drive it has fast a normal cars...which is amazing to me!

Hi Viny. I have designed a full compact differential, but dont have time or money to construtct it. If you want to know, maybe construct and use on Smart project it will be very nice.

ha le swap c'est la vie, cette Smart'Busa es insane, Hayabusa c'est legendaire, plus qu'a attendre un swap avec un GSX 1300RR 2021;p Hayabusa 2021 : 190 ch. à 9700 tr/min (140 kw), couple = 150 Nm à 7000 tr contre ancienne génération : 197 ch. à 9500 tr/min et 155 Nm de couple à 7200 tr/min

I think you should built a firewall for the smartbusa. It's so sketchy
i've got one, but removed it after having issues with the tip over sensor... That cover it's the must ugly thing I ever built... I think I built on part 14 of the smart busa project
He did. If you've watched the series, but i guess he removed in this case to have easier and quicker access to the tip-over module giving him problem.

Need some quick change gears so you can go low for drift and higher for racing
I did that setup on the racing mower, changing gears for each track. It's not unfeasible on the Busa, but could require a bunch of work! 🤷♂
Have you ever thought of selling chassis design on smart car?
I'm still developping the project as I drive the smart. So no, not for now, but maybe I'll do the plans for the sub frame eventually. Thanks for your interest! 👍

Bypass le tip over sensor! tu a meme été chanceux de pouvoir continuer meme si bien attaché. En moto le sensor pointe toujours en bas du casing, meme en courbe a cause de la force centrifuge...ce qui arrivera jamais avec une auto. Sur certain modele tu peut l'ouvrir, et juste siliconé le sensor en position vertical. (C'est ce que j'ai fait un mon GSXR de course.)
Je vais essayer avec une résistance (100ohm) sinon le truc du silicone est pas pire! 👍👍

Locking diff? Why? You don't want that for the track, that's a good option for a daily drive AND drift/drag combo, not a track day car. You want a real preloaded Torsen or clutch plate LSD for the track, my feathered French speaking friend. PS, LOL @ shit flying out the window, I have lost valuables that way while having excessive fun in a car :-D
