I had also watched Titanic movie in single screen theater in 1997 , 70MM screen. Screen size are bigger than PVR multiplex. That time full HD quality . A good experiences. But now all single screen cinema hall closed due to projector technology changed. Now projection by video projector , no old reel format.
I too miss the bright crisp picture of the carbon arc projectors of my childhood days...reel cinema was the real cinema Indeed, digital is just a compromise keeping in view it's faded lifeless projection.
What model of Cinemechanicca projector is that? V-5 or V-8? The only projector setup I ever knew with a pivoting lens turret. Maybe something else? Brings back memories of a long over career of mine. I never got the chance to run 70mm.
Very nice work 🎉🎉🎉
Superb! Thank you for uploading. The projector looks a little more technical than my Elmo 1200 HD lol 😊
As a child I dreamed of one day doing this for living.
Nice!! Gotta Love 70mm
Love Cinemeccanica projectors. Ran 70mm but with Vic X's and only on spools. Never had a problem with them and very easy on film.
