I LOVE making embellishments for my craft projects, especially shiny, sparkly, glittery and gilded. I will be coming back again and again about embellishments because of the HUGE variety and versality they provide to a project; they can take it from boring plain to WOW! Embellishments make you want to look closer and touch it, feel the textures and try to figure out how they are made. I plan to return to this subject many times and I will show you how to make very easy ones to the more complex.
Today's DIY craft project is how to add a little pizzaz energy to a flat image on cardstock. After additional elements are added on the cardstock, I will show you how to use it to make a simple and beautiful project.
The abstract rainbow image here on this page has been made by me in Midjourney AI. I love making my own paper designs for I find many store-bought paper bundles have many pages of paper that I don't like, and I have been repurposing this "ugly" paper into new products like this image. If your uninspired "ugly" cardstock paper is white on the back please feel free to repurpose this cardstock paper and print this image out on the white side (or any other image you may have), be sure to cut it down to fit in your printer (8.5" x 11"). This image is available as a Free Download in my Library.
