Robert, I've seen this method for years, but a lot of people started going the foam board route. I still think this is the way to go. Less muss and fuss, and gives some surprises along the way. Very good start. Can't wait to see the plaster go on. Regards, Solomon
It's always nice to watch you working Robert. I haven't done any plaster work yet. Looks like the cardboard weave is a lot easier than chicken wire and stuff. Cheers, Dan
You made that look so easy Robert, I have a glue gun but have never used it, after seeing you do that then I think I will give it go when I need to do the next part of the scenics, it looks like it makes life so much easier. Looking good mate. .........Graham
that's is terrific Robert. now she is starting to take shape too. so I have to ask, any plans to use the transfer table and all them great rail shops you had on the last layout, was a great scene, and that middle loop has a lot of free space.. just asking
Sparky yes the transfer table will be back, i thought i would get the mess of the scenery part done first, then i can get back to laying more track in that loop area cheers Robert
Just make the strips of cardboard shorter or add more strips , this will take out the pattern if you don't want them sticking out, or you can place newspaper behind the cardboard to make the desire effects. But this is not a problem if you are going to put plaster all over the plaster cloth cheers.
Very relaxing watching you work on stuff . Thanks for posting and cant wait to see further progress in all ur lifes projects! !

With the cardboard strips when some poke out you can see the patterns when plaster clothed, Suggestions on removing that ? Thanks.
Just make the strips of cardboard shorter or add more strips , this will take out the pattern if you don't want them sticking out, or you can place newspaper behind the cardboard to make the desire effects. But this is not a problem if you are going to put plaster all over the plaster cloth cheers.

@@csxmad if I just cover it in dirt and grass and would it help cover up the cardboard strips exposure ?
