Everyday I hear and see reports that this race is razor-thin. How can it possibly be?! This woman is intelligent and has morals and there's simply no question she's the best choice to lead America. DJT is the poster boy of embarrassment.

My Maternal Grandfather was a physician, conservative Republican. He hated Roosevelt in no small part because of the income tax and fears of "Socialized Medicine." My Paternal Grandfather was a WWI veteran and farmer. Roosevelt made sure that he did not lose his 56 acre Upstate NY dairy farm. I was raised with a liberal (if Irish Catholic) set of expectations and ethics. I attended College at a public East coast school where the Philosophy Department (in the early 1970's) was slanted towards Marxism. My other major was english literature which gave me the means to write and a desire to express my views and my education.. At 76, I am a social activist and advocate for the arts in Urban Newark, NJ. FDR was older , disabled and sickly, but no one cared. His leadership shone through and was elected 4 times.
Roosevelt also created the March of Dimes, which developed the vaccine for polio.
He got this country through the Great Depression and WW2.
Lest we forget, Eleanor. his partner who traveled this country and reported back about the condition of the people. She was his eyes and ears. She was deeply involved in the beginnings of the United Nations and the Declaration of Human Rights.

in 2020 my mother's dementia kicked in hard, so hard I had to give up my career and move across the country to take care of her until her neuro doctors started seeing patients again. I was able to keep her taken care of and safe only due to the fact that I was single and had no kids and expenses were low. I was able to keep her in her house for nearly a year and a half without any outside help. Then my aunts and uncles helped me find a assisted living facility for her which wiped out her retirement investments (8-10K a month depending on the amount of care she needed- it went up as she began to forget how to walk etc). She died two days shy of Christmas 2023...My hope is that as a country we could create ways that people could stay at home longer and support those family members that have to take on this duty by giving them credit toward student debt or substantial tax deduction that could be used over time...something has to give

Just FYI: In UK, the government takes over payment for residential care when your own funds fall to a specified level: there’s been talk of that level being increased. And before that, the NHS can contribute funds to the nursing home if needs for care & nursing rise to specified levels (what you pay doesn’t change, but it means you’re not charged extra).

Today the current Commerce Secretary said “he/45 should be eliminated for good”. And 30% of polled dems actually agree with that?
This reference of FDR has no specifics. Her words are described as substantive?
Even this gentleman’s comments, grandiose as they are, say nothing about the policies of Kh.
He definitely has criticism of 45. But again no specifics. Folks, simply compare the two admins.
Flowery word salads are no substitute for facts.
Why does the MSM allow these rampant lies to stand with no push back? Under Trump, minority unemployment was the lowest it’s ever been. The middle class had cost of living go down.
This whole speech had no specifics. “Lower their costs and pursue their dreams” nice statement. No plan. No specifics.
Global leadership no specifics. Increase manufacturing with tax credits for creating jobs.. uh that would mean tax breaks to the upper class.
Much more to be said. This man actually said Trump did nothing for his parents as they were dying?

She described the policies of FDR as a convenient avoidance of detailing her policies. I heard one specific- tax breaks for the upper class if they create jobs but the corp has to be union. on its face, thats discriminatory and additionally tax breaks to the rich. furthermore, all successful corps create jobs. not just union shops.
well that's the closest she came to being specific and the leftist residents of 1984 just ate it up.

So again proving she's not for the middle or lower class! Harris is a massive liar that will say anything to get votes! Her actions prove she doesn't care about us! Harris is actively eliminating our middle class, making it hard for us to get by, even though we are now working more!! Trump's Tax Cut and Jobs Act put us American workers and families first. Trump kept our prices low!! If we're using our heads we can see Harris has proven over and over she is not for Americans! But my father never stopped trying, this was back in the 60's-,70's. My parents couldn't send me to college. So I joined the military to get myself educated with the GI Bill spent 22 years there. Now I'm retired at age 62, having completed my 2nd Ph.D. in 2010. so you can do anything you want. if you yourself WORK HARD at it.

@@kar-r5i4f i don’t know how old you are but if you are between 65 and 45, there wasn’t a war going on when you joined, I’m guessing served. I am 55 but I joined at 35 so there was a war when i joined. Also the military isn’t for everyone. Maybe for religious beliefs or physical fitness or mental fitness. When I joined I already had college because I used financial aid and some scholarships and I worked so I didn’t need loans. I joined after college, (over a decade after college) but state schools cost much less and student loans were monitored differently and interest rates were much lower. In the early 2000s student loans could not be discharged in bankruptcy anymore. After that changed suddenly bank loan rates went up and the amounts weren’t monitored for use any more and that lead to young people taking bigger loans and schools raising tuitions, housing and food exponentially. So now students coming out of school come out with. Large debt for the same degree. The challenges that you and I faced are not the same as the college people since 2007 experience. If we went back to the same standards as below and we tell state schools that use start and government funding they need to ask state legislators for approval to raise tuitions and costs and we tell banks that want government guarantees of student loans they have to monitor what loans are given for and rates are controlled. Like they used to be. That isn’t giving anyone a hand out but it makes it easier to get an education without being buried in debt after graduation. Times have changed because the rules have changed. Pulling yourself up by the boot straps isn’t and never was easy. But it is definitely harder now. But it’s definitely harder to do when you start out in a large hole.

One of the great mysteries of this campaign is my incredible emotional response to Harris. I have felt it before; only once, in 2008, did the person I admired make it to the Presidency. Harris is the real deal, folks. By electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, we are putting our country's most dedicated patriots in charge of making our country work better. I can hardly wait to see what they accomplish.
It may be naive of me, but I truly believe Harris and Walz demonstrate the kind of leadership America needs. Electing the dumbest person to ever run for the Presidency again is just plain stupid. People would be a lot less insulted by invocations of being dumber than a rock if they used their brain and did an independent analysis of what they are being told.
