Love the colonial architecture of the city through the monochrom lens, my favorite shot is in minute 6 and 50 seconds, the man and the woman in the stairs, great composition.
Whenever I watch your videos, I sit wishing I had your confidence to just walk about and take images of strangers like you do. It frustrates me endlessly that I just can't do it. Anyway, thanks for another great video!
Very nice. My favorite is the shot of the line of people against the wall. As you said, really nicely balanced. The diagonal shadows on the wall also offsets the diagonal line of the sidewalk
I honestly think you had more shots that didn’t make it to your list, that were fantastic! The boy on the skateboard or the two kids in the car, the guy spreading his arms - just to name a few. Really awesome shots! Great episode!
Really beautiful shoots. First I thought they where all too dark, but then I adjusted the brightness on my monitor and the shoots came out brilliant. I had to watch the video again 😅. Thx for sharing
Welcome to Mexico my friend, I'm glad you enjoy the small jewel that is San Miguel de Allende. A very tourist friendly city but with the authenticity of our culture. We're always happy to see foreigners enjoying the true beauty of our country, have fun!
I might be wrong, but some of your B&W photos, especially those featuring architectural elements, have something uncanny, metaphysical, a Giorgio de Chirico feel to them (like the first one). Great photos, as always!
Your videos are such a nice little holiday for my mind every time. I really enjoy! Thanks to take me with you once again. My favorite shot would be the one with the walking people and the diagonal shadows. By the way I also think, that you made more very interesting shots than listed in the end. Have a nice journey!
I moved through the thumbnail and I saw a wall at 1:43 .. and I knewwww exactly where you were, I hace several pictures down there. Thanks for the pictures. Oh how I miss traveling freely. One question: How do you feel your photography or your sense of shooting have changed these months where almost everyone has their faces covered?
I really have to consider a trip to San Miguel De Allende. My favorite image of the ones you selected is number 3. Of the rest, I really liked the following: 1:10, 2:32, 4:55, 5:18, 6:50 and 7:43.
Your favourite is mine too, I’ve a Q too and find it quitte difficult too get sharp images. Settings are the same, I guess I have to practice a bit more. 🙃
Very nice location and interesting charakters. I realy like your episodes. I also noticed the podcast you are doing together with Konrad Wolff. Thumbs up for that!! Greetings from Cologne!
Guy with the donut is my Fav this time around. I have also been using red filter digitally recently. I need top pick up a real one for the film cameras.
The one from the kids in the rear car window is nice and the one that looks like it was taken from a rooftop with a man pushing a cart..those are my favorites..I want this camera... something about the b&w has always been appealing to me..plus I can't stand editing colors anymore..I've gotten lazy in my older years lol
I’m in Mexico for the winter, and desperately wanted to get my hands on a Q2 Monochrom before I left the US. Timing didn’t work out, so I’m living vicariously through your video. Beautiful work. Curious if you have shot the Q2 Monochrom with an orange filter - it’s less contrasty and I wonder if that helps reduce the chance of blown highlights with this sensor
That's too bad Stuart! The orange filter won't make a difference. These photos are not JPEGs and the RAWs have plenty are not as contrasty as the image shown in the video. I have a video where I compared red and orange filter to give people an idea about the differences.
Great video, as always! I have a question for You: how does the red filter act exactly? Does It have something to be with contrast or the tones of the skies? Thanks a lot!!
I booked a flight and now I am in Mexico. Traveling around here is no problem. I've met a lot of Brits here and they enjoy life again after all that lockdown bs in Europe.
Picture at 8:25 , just awsm-- the guy reaching for the hat gives it that extra sparkle of magic
Thank you! Congratulations, you are the winner of the print. Can you shoot me a message over on Instagram or through my website?
Awsm! Message sent through your web page 👍
I am currently a fujifilm and film shooter but I am falling in love with this camera. I truly believe it is amazing.
Fantastic video again amazing photos keep up the good work pal 👏👏👏👏👏
Looks like a fun day of photography!
Great video, my favorite is the first one with diagonal lines. Thanks for sharing Robin!
Fantastic as always! I liked all the photos but the sidewalk picture is pony favorite.
I agree with your choice of your personal favorite.... I like what the red filter does
Love the colonial architecture of the city through the monochrom lens, my favorite shot is in minute 6 and 50 seconds, the man and the woman in the stairs, great composition.
I enjoy the long time you give the people with the lines.
It can be nice to look and it over and over again.
These pictures are just great...deep black, nice location and that characters... wow
Really love the essence of place you captured in this episode. Thank You !
Absolutely lovely stuff! love the balance of the highlights!
It is so funny when someone glances at the camera and then immediately goes back to what they were doing
Loving your images from Mexico. Another great vid Robin.
I love the videos of Mexico

watching this i absolutely fell in love with the location and the many creative ideas such a place can give, thank you so much!
Another great video in the Mexico 🇲🇽 Q2 series.

I love the photo with people in diagonal, grate work! The q2 is an amazing camera
Thanks for sharing Robin! Love the red filter on the Monochrome.
Thanks for another entertaining video, I really admire your skills!
Excellent photos in a beautiful city 🌃
Thanks for sharing this beautiful place! I love the man with the clown mask, what a character. Red filter is the best.
Whenever I watch your videos, I sit wishing I had your confidence to just walk about and take images of strangers like you do. It frustrates me endlessly that I just can't do it. Anyway, thanks for another great video!
Great photos !
I liked the first option. The diagonal line, the shadowns and the darkness in the bottom of the photo are amazing
beautiful city, beautiful photos!
Nice shots & video. Enjoy Mexico 🇲🇽
Thank you! 😊👍
The joker photo is my fav!!
I also like the last photo with the boy walking under the tree
Lot of good images in this episode.
Great episode, my favorite si the one of the elderly lady .
Wow q2 monochrome with the red filter is really beautiful.
Great episode. You are very lucky to be travelling right now!
Thank you! Traveling right now is easy, at least in some parts of the world. Mexico is one of the best places you can be right now.
Love that final shot.
Great shots. I like the one of the two kids in the car!🙂
great photos !
Fantastic! Found your channel a couple of weeks ago (I've just begun shooting film) and have been binge watching it ever since.... awesome stuff!
Very nice. My favorite is the shot of the line of people against the wall. As you said, really nicely balanced. The diagonal shadows on the wall also offsets the diagonal line of the sidewalk

Really beautiful shoots. First I thought they where all too dark, but then I adjusted the brightness on my monitor and the shoots came out brilliant. I had to watch the video again 😅. Thx for sharing
Amazing place and shoots. regards from Chile.
Mate, if you already came down to Mexico you should take the next step and visit Antigua Guatemala. I'll think you'll enjoy it! Beautiful images.
Would love to go but this time I'll stick to Mexico. There is plenty to see here. 👌
great use of light and shadow
Great pictures and love your work... subscribed thumbs up
Thank you and welcome Marian!
The guy with his arms spread is one of my favourite!

Thanks Alex! So far, Mexico has been amazing. 😊
My favorite is the one with the guy singing in front of the bar 😂
Also Robin...

Danke dir Andy! Keine Sorge, es wird auch später Film Episoden in Farbe geben. 😊
@@therealsirrobin Nice, ich freu mich schon drauf! :)
Just fantastic!! Pictures are edited or sooc?
awesome black and white photos 📸👍😊

¡Viva México! 🇲🇽
Love those photos
Ahí viene la plaga, me gusta bailar!!.... jajajaj, Excellent!! 1:33
Klasse Aufnahmen. Wie immer halt. Respekt und liebe Grüße Maik
Damn ..I wish I had that Q2 monochrome ..maybe someday...all amazing shots btw 👊

One question: How do you feel your photography or your sense of shooting have changed these months where almost everyone has their faces covered?
If you are still in Mexico, you should collaborate with Frederik Trovatten!
Yo I love him too
From his recent videos it seems Frederik is back in Denmark at the moment
@@Meslop-s4c I thought he has gone back though?
I'll be in Mexico for a couple more weeks, so it might be possible.
@@therealsirrobin cool!
inspiration quietly creeping up for me, i've been dry with photo ideas since Covid-19.
Time to get back into it.

Thanks Michael! New podcast coming very soon.
Loved this one! the guy at 1:32 was in party mode lol
Guy with the donut is my Fav this time around. I have also been using red filter digitally recently. I need top pick up a real one for the film cameras.
great images
Why the red filter and not for example orange? Great photos. The old woman one is my favourite.
Simply because I prefer the look a red filter gives me over an orange one.
The one from the kids in the rear car window is nice and the one that looks like it was taken from a rooftop with a man pushing a cart..those are my favorites..I want this camera... something about the b&w has always been appealing to me..plus I can't stand editing colors anymore..I've gotten lazy in my older years lol
If you don't like editing then this is the perfect bw camera for you. It takes me only a few seconds for each photo.
Hey, super schöne Fotos. Wie viel Post Produktion ist da noch dabei? Oder sind das JPEGs direkt aus der Kamera?
Beautiful images. Which red filter do you use?
Heliopan.
Beautiful images. Would love to own a Q2 monochrome someday. Take care!

How does Q2 mono compare with original 2012 18mp Monochrome camera?
No idea, I've only shot the Typ 246 Monochrom.
Tus videos son buenísimos, saludos desde Perú
Ich mag deine Reisen, danke fürs mitnehmen!
Gern geschehen!
image nr 4, i think is fantastic :D
This makes me want to visit back home! If you ever get a chance visit Guadalajara or Zapotlanejo. Two beautiful cities to visit!
Thank you! I've already been to Guadalajara, you'll see in the next episode. 👍
@@therealsirrobin Watched the episode this morning!! Awesome pictures!
Great work, as always! I'd love to win a print of the winking guy with the hat and the donut!! :) Safe travels!
Great video, as always! I have a question for You: how does the red filter act exactly? Does It have something to be with contrast or the tones of the skies? Thanks a lot!!
It brighten up everything that has reds in it and darkens the blues. So skin gets brighter and the sky darker. 👌
@@therealsirrobin thanks for your answer!!! Have a great weekend!! And thanks for your videos!!
Amazing photos hope to get something
Beautiful city
You certainly get around 👍
Nice! Come to Monterrey to shoot some Film!
1:32 "La plaga" is a rock song in Spanish published by the Mexican band Los Teen Tops 1959. #2 the photo of the old woman is very good.
Thanks for the info!
7:45 shot of girls with two dolls is really nice, the're genuinely curious and surprised. All 4 of them with bangs :).
May i ask how you are travelling so well during covid, I can't wait to travel again from the UK
I booked a flight and now I am in Mexico. Traveling around here is no problem. I've met a lot of Brits here and they enjoy life again after all that lockdown bs in Europe.
I think donut man wanted to signal that he knew you were taking his photo or he was just amused by it.
Again, Mexico is beautiful.... I rather liked more the images with film...
Film episodes will come later.
I'd have to rush back home and grab a camera that takes colour photos in such a colourful place!
Who said that I haven't shot color there too? 😉
Traveling in a covid 19 world, in a country where they tell you not to go, carrying expensive camera equipment.
You're a braver man than me.
What you've been told is rather not true or should I rather say it's all a big lie?
I’m going to have to pick up one of your books soon! Would also love to win a print.
