I don't understand why people are hating on Haesu. If you were in her position what would you do? She took in a stranger with nothing but concerned feelings that he might catch something the next day; and then he goes accusing her of stealing his wallet. Not just that, he accused her family of being shady. Of course she would go to the depths of hell to defend her family. I would too. And no matter how much she tried to tell him that she didn't take the wallet, he's still accusing her. So yeah, Haesu has every right to be crazy as she wants. And, there's nothing wrong with her character. Not every female heroine is delicate and demure and super gorgeous. I like the fact that Haesu is loud, obnoxious, not overly the top gorgeous (she's still beautiful though), independent, and fights for what she believes is right.
Now maybe the doctor will understand what it feels like to be accused of something that you didn't do. Were it not for Haesu, he could have frozen to death in the street. I can't see why he didn't come to that conclusion the minute that he woke up on that day.
The lead female has the worst attitude. Yes it was nice of her to take the Dr into her home when he was drunk, but that doesn't mean she can speak to him any old way. He was wrong for accusing her of stealing his wallet, but she is the one always yelling and creating a scene. Her over the top reactions make her seem guilty. She didn't get fired because he accused her of theft, she got fired because she was acting a fool in her work place. And although I don't like the ex coming in with her processed food, she is a work superior. Once again Haesu goes popping off at the mouth when no one asked her to. Yes Mina was innocent, but her situation did look shady as hell. Who goes to work but has no idea what their bosses name is? She never asked? Because Mina didn't even know an alias. Haesu was asking the Dr for a favor when she wanted his grandmother to drop the charges, but spoke to him as if he owed her something. I'm not even rooting for her, she's too damn crazy.
what hospital dosent use a food service? last time i was in one for a week all the food was shipped in an dthey just dished it out ,,,,,,,,, and the cafeteria was a diner pretty much .....that sold mostly chips burgers and such (like a convience store) the problem is theres too many people and its trying to be lke a american soap opera and it dosent work here
So...you were in a KOREAN hospital??? Also disagree about "too many people". This is exactly what "family dramas" are. Oh yeah, and they don't give a shit about crappy American soaps.
Still watching even though I don't like most of the lead characters. the female lead is too loud and not strategic in her thinking. The marriage of the central Mom and Dad seems on automatic pilot with little communication or companionship. The daughter is going to move out and leave the family in financial straits once the father leaves his job. I can't see the Doctor's life improving if he ends up with the female lead. Once she finds out Won Foods is coming in so the manager can see the Doctor, the female lead will be yelling more. What do others think? Give it 20eps then bail if it doesn't improve?
Mary Ann Nelson These are the reasons I don't like daily drama's they put together the worse scenarios. They all are aggravating. I want to bail now, the constant arguing and issues is just too stressful. Not in love with the female lead at all. Yet intrigued to see how they will bring this all together. At least it's not I am in love with you oppa, I will do everything and anything to marry you. Yet I wonder if this is similar to Korean life. Everyone on a get rich scheme, they make it seem like if you are poor your efforts to get ahead aren't worth the trouble. They need someone who is hustling to make a life for themselves.
Mary Ann Nelson I don't understand why the family would be in financial straits. Everybody in the house are working adults in full time lucrative careers except the mother and grandparents. The grandfather worked as a Sea Captain so he should have some retirement income, plus there is the Uncle who lives outside the house with a good job, he should be giving the grandparents an allowance. The father works a corporate job, the daughter is a match maker, and the youngest son is a Dr. The house is old school so I am assuming it belongs to the grandparents, which means there is no mortgage. The Dr wanted the unpaid fellowship and no one has made any mention of him having outstanding student loans. There's only one child in the family, and although the oldest son doesn't work her mother has a well paying job and her mother's people have a lot of money. I can understand the father not wanting to retire because he's till young and healthy, but him retiring shouldn't mean the family goes broke. I don't get why he is wandering around and whining. He may not be able to find another job that pays as well, but he could find something in addition to his retirement income, or start some small business. I do think its silly that the daughter is asking her parents for money to move out. I know rent works differently in SK and you need thousands of dollars for a downpayment to rent a home unlike in the US, but she should've saved on her own, or take out a loan. No one in that house has any expensive designer goods and no one seems to have a gambling or drug problem, so the grandmother was right. The only hole money seems to be disappearing into is the mother's family. I know that chick lives in a tiny apartment, but I swear sometimes the writers just don't pay attention to what they're writing. She lives in the same neighborhood as that family, so it must be nice and safe. How can one woman work as cafeteria lady and support another adult and all those kids, but the father act like the world is coming to an end.
EloiseInParis Mainly because the mother gave the money to her family. She has been helping her own family out financially. So draining her current family of finances to help out her family. Her son who is the doctor earns very little without the support of a fellowship. Not sure if he is a resident, if he is they earn less than 40,000 a year depending on what state and hospital. The older son has no job he is living off his in-laws, but they still give money to the mother. The husband after 35years should earn a pretty good income. His mother seems wealthy since he has his own business. I know utilities and food in supermarkets are expensive. Plus a lot of it is keeping up with the Jones.
Cherish Adventure and EloiseInParis Part of the reason I think the family may have some financial issues is that the father said he took an "advance" of $500 to buy the gift certificates for his boss. The Grandmother is asking for the son (father) to pay for the hospital visit for grandfather. Maybe it's cultural that even if parents have money they expect the child to pay. The DR son is now making money but his older brother (not the father?) paid for his medical school which he is just finished.

Cherish Adventure that is one reason to watch, how will the 2 leads change and get together and become happy and successful.
