@A A This is how a game of chess between two very powerful engines might go: Even before moving any piece, the white player announces "mate in 38", to which black responds "mate in 35". White continues with "mate in 33". The game is won by the player who can announce the fastest checkmate. No moves are ever played because the engines were programmed by gentlemen.
If only we were allowed to capture our own pieces. Perhaps that is the next variant of Chess which should be tried. Invite all the top players, and don't tell them of the rule change until the tourney starts. I would back Magnus still to come out on top,
nah b4 was far more incredible. Danya would see Bc4 in blitz even, but b4 was a true work of art. There were 2 or 3 candidate moves and so many variations to calculate, not to mention the position is so wild
I recommend people to go check out danyas channel. Very instructive and also fun to watch . Seems like a really good guy. Also one of the best players ive seen

At 1:56, I don't recall ever seeing one entire file full of pieces from front to back of the board, dividing the board in half. #suggestion - would it be interesting to look at bizarre layouts of pieces that have come about in normal play?
That x-ray skewer move by white's bishop on black's queen and rook had to feel so good when he found it. Only gave white a slight material advantage after all the trades, but it was basically forced and prevented black from continuing with his tactics.
I look forward to content from this channel everyday. Amazing stuff. 10.29 There's a variation where the king moves to safety on F2 then Knight forks tolhe two rooks on e3
Well, this is the opening I play every day against the Lichess engine, the only opening. I wasn't aware that it even has a name, but apparently it's called Colle-Zukertort. However, although C-Z uses the same set of opening moves, mine has a totally different purpose. My problem is that at level 5 the engine's use of its knights is so awesome that I have no chance at all. So instead of using C-Z to battle for the center, the purpose is to force black into trading off both of its knights within the first ten moves. Preferably the trades are both knight for knight, but I'm willing to trade a bishop for a knight if that's the only way I can get it off the board early on. (I can't trade both bishops for both knights, that is a guaranteed loss.) If I can trade knights for knights within 10 moves, I will win two-thirds of the time. Nothing about this opening forces black into trading knights. It can respond in a way that neither knight gets traded off, in which case I will almost certainly lose. The optimal for me is D2 takes E4 and E5 takes C6.
He doesn't need to though. He is probably the best chess teacher out there and can continue to get streaming money, while also releasing classes and courses
Strange this was. I had queen pawn openings as well researched lines, so the bishop to d3 (new game moment) by white, so early, seemed to me like white was going to lose this game. Still it was exciting and i enjoyed that pawn taking with the bishop in the end while keeping the rooks forked. Its the kind of move that i would be pushed to resign after, if i were black. I considered the suicidal Ra1 to h1 at the puzzle thereby placing the black king in check should black take my rook, and also building a pawn chain there, but there was simply not enough material and, whats more, removing the g wall on the king, opened up the game too much. I settled for a defensive move, might have played the cautious Rg2 inviting the pawn further down perhaps and then back to Rg3 which would make it easier to grab that pawn. Congrats on white going off book so early and winning, but perhaps more because maybe the early (new) Bd3 was originally rejected as a too open line, as d4 opening go deep and seem constricted. So great risk great reward i guess.
He does all game formats. Any exciting game can be recommended to him by #suggestion. My best guess as to why he does few classical events is because it is all engine preparation and many games end in a draw, but blitz games are exciting since they often go into exciting lines which would never be played in a classical time format just my best guess
Real true answer, You need 2 months preparation for classical and you cant do with twitch. Also the recent twitch leak confirmed how profitable is streaming for him. Also, rapid and blitz are kinda easier than classical for super gms and easier to stream. Spoiler It's almost $800k in two years and thats just from his twitch alone, with sponsors + deals, he probably has more.

One of the things that keeps me coming back to agadmator's videos is his quirky insistence that White's b-pawn should be pushed to b4. I shared this quirk throughout my own chess career, which is pretty much over since I'm 80 years old. I've beaten masters with the Evans Gam
bit and, long ago, I won all 4 of my games with White in the Michigan Open, using Santasiere's Folly (1. Nf3 d5 2. b4, or 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. b4). Too bad I lost all 3 of my games with Black....
I can't agree more about Ne5 being very stressful while playing black. It reduces confidence tremendously, and I can often feel the impending checkmate, especially with the black queen stuck on the queen side and unable to help out.
Why is bishop captures a bad move? Well, it's just weird. Ah, of course. Can't have that! Allow me to attend to my Cheetos and Juicy Juice at the snack table. I will return to continue studies after I have made Pipi in my Pampers

Incredible game. You thought xiong is completely winning when he made the bishop pair fully operational, setting checkmating mines everywhere. Great comback victory
Very back and forth game. Xiong comes out the opening better. Danya responds back and Xiong lays out multiple traps in the end but Danya doesn't fall for them.

And now, three days later, Daniel just pulled off a big win against Caruana. Incredible tournament for him.
