you've got a lot of mods going on, so maybe i'm off base, but potatoes have a low fertility sensitivity for hydro. i'd do corn instead.

I see, if I were to only use hydroponics for my crops, what would be the best crop? I just read that it's rice.

In vanilla rimworld, corn cannot be grown on hydroponics saddly. So yes, technically the best would be rice, however you'd need to replant and harves it very often

Shouldn't be a big deal, I have a ton of people that can do plants, so planting often isn't a problem.
