Vivek Vaswani has a saint like qualities in him. A rare person, with compassion, merciful. To my mind Vivek Vaswani was destined to be a teacher.
By the way, I once crossed his path, that time, I was working in Loksatta- (Indian Expres group) and out for getting responses from the audience to Shahrukh's newly released movie. I don't know exact name, but it was around 2005 or 06, a theater in south Bombay, where I found Vivek Vaswani was standing there among audiences waiting for getting in. I asked him some question and he politely gave me a replym. For my senior, in those days, finding a well knnown producer actor standing outside theater was like a breaking news.

This happens a lot but to Shah rukhs credit he has accredited his success to Mr Vasvani many many times. Ppl grow apart and move on but in this situation the dynamic of success determines the friendship. I feel sad for Vivek , he seems to be lonely and sad and disillusioned. I hope he finds the peace he needs. And gets back to his sweet friendship with Shahrukh

I liked the podcast but just one thing i would like to point out here. It was more about shahrukh khan rather than Vivek ji. I wanted to know how he got interested in movies n a little bit of his own background.
Yes true didn’t hear much about his own background… esp his marriage/ family or why he didn’t have any of that.
The host tried his best to make SRK topic as dramatic & tragic as possible but the guest didn't pick his lines and kept it very realistic, simple and plain!!!

Naarazgi bhi nahi hai understanding hai that he is busy with his empire, family and films. How often do we meet our best friends after a certain age, priorities change. I met my best friend after 4 years as we lived in different places.
But how can you forget a person who helped in his struggle? When srk was nothing..that so called Empire is not only his..it's because of people also who helped him..if my best friend wi be going through cancer i wouldn't be there ??

Film is business, a private business. Who should be a star is completely producers/directors call. If I own a business, I would look for people who can make me money/I can trust, not some random new comer. If star kids draw crowds to the theater, I’ll cast them. If people don’t like star kid, they will not be casted. Fardeen khan, tushar kapoor, Uday Chopra etc are prime example of star kid failure. So stop expecting film industry to be equal opportunity employer.
